Not defending Punk here, but it's hard to stage a toy section to make it look like Hangman isn't selling were most Walmarts have about twenty of him because he actually isn't selling. My Walmart has about twenty of those and a few of the none exclusives with a different shirt. Punk hit the same time. There was as many and all are long gone. Punk's others fly off the shelf right out of the box. I know because I've not been able to find the long tights one.

No but the staging isn't about a volume of toys, it's that the guy put Hangman toys onto a bunch of pegs that were supposed to hold other toys (and maybe has other AEW toys being hidden behind those Hanged Men to make it look like there's more) even though some of those tags are for toys seven or eight dollars cheaper that, if you open the image and zoom in for, are even for entirely different kinds of toy. It's sad even if it's not lying about the number of Hangman toys there are.

Sounds like he’s saying the opposite. The report about Perry/Punk is what we read, including Punk’s side saying he just said things calmly and told him he can go do stuff like that on Wednesdays. And SRS’s opinion is that this situation was not that bad and was more of just a disagreement.

He’s reporting what he’s been told by sources (including Punk’s side), he didn’t start a narrative. His opinion of what he reported on is that it was not that bad of a situation and merely a disagreement. His articles are his reporting. His tweets and his radio show sometimes also contain his opinions, from what I’m gathering.

I am a tad loath to actually start earnestly talking about toy sales, because that was precisely Punk's intention with all of this, but this is seriously so subjective.

I live in Southern Indiana. At my local Target last Saturday, there was one Hangman figure, like 3 of the Unmatched series Punk figures with the black long tights and the black hoodie, a Frankie Kazarian figure that has been warming the peg for 2+ years, then a couple Pentas and a Jake Hager. I very easily could have manipulated it to look like Punk's figure wasn't selling well if I wanted to behave like a toddler on the internet. In reality, it's probably that my Target location got a larger shipment of Punk figures than anyone else, so it's taking longer to sell through the stock. I would imagine that's true of another main eventer like Hangman, too.

I have zero problem with reporters correcting initial reports if more information comes out. Just don't complain about fans overexaggerating things when you're responsible for the initial article that fueled it. That's always been my point here.

Basically, yeah. It's also not a nonfactor, I think, that Hangman is someone who has received various versions. If someone was content to just have one Hangman Page, they'd probably snap up people they don't have yet than him with some new gear.
