I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that wrestling has never in history benefited from guys not getting along, and that remains one of the single worst myths there is. And before people point to their favourite example: Bret and Shawn, they forget that as soon as tensions went beyond trying to work everyone, they got in a fight where Bret tried to scalp Shawn and it only got worse from there. Hogan and Savage popped buyrates in WCW. Bret and Shawn led to the introduction of the Mr McMahon character. Punk and Ryback popped a PPV buyrate. Doesn’t Eddie actually hate Claudio? Having the two people in those programs hate each other didn't exactly help in those cases, and there is a reason why Hogan/Savage WCW is considered inferior to Hogan/Savage WWE. In the case of Punk/Ryback, the increased buyrate had nothing to do with Punk not liking Ryback and everything to do with people wanting to see the unstoppable (at that stage at least) object in Ryback smash the very resistable force that was CM Punk in late 2012 all over the cell, and Ryback looking like shit for not beating Punk was the start of Ryback losing all of his luster and losing almost every time on PPV.
While I can't say for sure that the feuds mentioned would have been improved if the two dudes in them got along, better collaboration would have been a big help, especially in the case of Bret and Shawn. In the case of Ryback, having Punk agree to drop the title to him would have put The Big Guy in a lot better position as it would have shown that he could get the job done, and he probably wouldn't have went on to become a bottle job.

To be fair, the Mega Powers exploding is one of the greatest storylines WWF/WWE has ever had.

The Bucks, Hangman, Omega and now Jungle Boy..Punk seems to enjoy picking fights with the least threatening looking men in wrestling. I wonder if he ever had a problem with Miro or Brody King the same thing would happen?

CM Punk and Jack Perry had an altercation backstage at AEW All In.
Details are few and far between at the moment, but we have learned that Jack Perry and CM Punk had an altercation shortly before CM Punk went to the ring for his AEW All In match. Jack Perry was on right before him, and did a spot on a car window, and said "it's real glass, cry me a river." This was a shot at Punk, who had a confrontation at an AEW Collision taping this Summer over Perry's insistence on using real glass for a spot on the show. We're told Perry wasn't happy with how the situation was relayed publicly by those close to Punk.
We haven't heard of the extent of which the altercation got, but that it got physical, and involved a lot of yelling.
We will follow up here with any additional details we learn.

At a certain point Khaaaaaan has to look at the common denominator in all of this bullshit. Spoiler: it’s CM Punk

Punk is a shmuck at times but this sounds like Jack Perry instigated it, tbh.

I shouldn’t be laughing but CM punk is at it again. How many times does he need to be the constant in backstage issues before Tony tells him to hit the bricks ? I had sympathy for Tony khan Initially but it’s diminishing the as it goes on as he made a decision to bring punk back.

What Punk did is much worse than a harmless comment Nah. It wasn’t. It was an example of a talent doing something dumb and Punk intervening. Then, said talent tries to instigate a physical confrontation right before going out to the ring? Not good. Two wrongs don’t make a right. Punk did what he did, but Perry trying to start a fight right before the biggest show of the year is just as f***ing dumb.

How do you know who was the physical aggressor? Punk got Punk’d on live tv with the limo spot…you think Perry went to the back and shoved him? Cause Phil is such a cool cucumber?
