From what we are told, Punk was waiting in the Gorilla position before the show went live for his match against Samoa Joe when Perry entered the area and walked up to him. Punk initiated the verbal exchange between the two, asking Perry if he had something to say, and the conversation quickly escalated, leading to Perry asking Punk to “do something about it.”

This is when Punk shoved Perry, Perry responded by shoving Punk back, and then Punk pulled out a hammer and showed Perry it. We’re told Punk viewed pulling out the hammer as a way to neutralize the situation, as he’s a trained carpenter and does not want to have to fight Perry. No hammers were thrown, as far as we know.

How many problems has this guy caused in the last year? It seems to be increasing in frequency too. Just in the last couple of months, we’ve had the ESPN interview, the digs at the Bucks in his return promo, the after show digs at Hangman, the constant leaking of stories to try to paint him in a positive light, the social media posts/Instagram stories, the altercation and now fight with Perry, the confrontation with Nemeth, getting Ace backpay, keeping Daniels the head of talent relations off of Collision, keeping others he has a problem with off of Collision including veterans like the Hardys.

yeah more proof that even though Punk wants to be a locker room leader, he doesn't have the temperament for it at all, he's not mentally equipped for that spot. Getting physical or, if we give him the benefit of the doubt, allowing yourself to be dragged to that level when you are challenged or slighted in any way is not leadership, it's crumbling at the first sign of pressure. Dude can't handle it.

Is weird because Punk's always had a chip on his shoulder and was loudly opinionated, but he's been incredibly aggro lately.

Most people would have laughed off Jack's potshot, but he took it personal even though he's the potshot king. It's sad seeing one of my favorites just completely just kill what little good will he has left. Man could just live in Collision land, book himself how he sees fit, work with only his buddies, but instead just wants constant drama.

I love the Haus of Wrestling reports on Punk stuff. It's just the funniest things ever.

The reminder that Punk is a "trained fighter", him buying Nandos for some of his friends. Hausman should get out of the wrestling business and go into comedy, he'd make more money.

From what we gather, it does not sound like there has been much, if any, communication between Punk and AEW since last night. Considering everything that is going on, it is fair to say that Punk’s future with AEW, and pro wrestling in general, appears to be questionable. We will continue to bring you more on this situation as it develops.

Punks kind of felt like an afterthought in terms of his onscreen presence
