Why do I have the feeling that this will be the extent of Punk’s punishment?  I would expect it to be closer to a 5 percent pay rise. That happens after All Out, when Punk, FTR Hair and FTR Bald walk into Tonys office and tell him "Give us a raise you Coked-up Bitch" |

Punk deflecting from an altercation that he almost definitely made physical by leaking a travel story where he a) showed up late because he wanted to relax for a day and b) had to take mass transit instead of a car service because of an administrative mix-up and not just CALLING A f***ING TAXI YOURSELF AND GETTING IT REIMBURSED LIKE EVERYONE WHO HAS EVER TRAVELED SOLO FOR WORK and thinking that it would build sympathy is beyond WrestleTaint parody levels It's also impressive just for the fact that even at a high level there's surely travel f***-ups sometimes and everyone's got a story about a lift to the hotel not being there or a whole-ass bus that never showed. The number he got didn't work? Probably, someone who sent it to him swapped two digits by accident. Hell maybe Punk himself even wrote it down wrong. Wrestlers travel for a living and anyone who travels for a living has run to some human error mix-up where things get crossed and it is just so much the least noteworthy thing in the world and the fact it's being leaked makes me hope he's just ready to put AEW itself on blast on his way out but because Tony Khan has helped given Punk a bath he doesn't have ay major substantial shit to complain about like he did with WWE and so we instead get this level of shit instead. Because the alternative is that he's actually certain this is a problem that needs to come out for sympathy and like man this is shit you complain about in a group chat to your buddies in a "My day's gone wild" way not to a bloody journalist. |

Well, looks like I'll be watching Collision now for a bit.  And depending on if I have any plans on Sunday, I might be ordering All Out now too. |

Jack Perry being an unhinged nepo baby that doesn't think consequences apply to him was already becoming a great gimmick that fits him and the current zeitgeist.
Add in Punk baiting and/or parody and it could reach loose cannon levels of line blurring.

One of those weird situations where both parties were dumbasses. Jack should know better than to throw that comment out there on live tv. It was drama for dramas sake. On the other hand Punk could have shut his mouth as well and if he had issues with it, could have been an adult and invited Perry out to talk about it calmly or something. But if Punk could do that, he wouldn't be in this position at this point. Jack still has time to grow but we know who Punk is at this point.
Both deserve suspensions. Punk needs to just go screw off though, almost exactly a year out from his last disaster and once again causing shit.
