if I'm the one to lock the thread if punk leaves aew, I'm quoting this as the final post for the thread. Damn do we really have to lock it if Punk leaves? We re so close to breaking the forum record yes otherwise it'll get necro-bumped for the rest of eternity. it wont get locked the instant punk's done with aew but it will get locked at some point. |

Punk, who spent most of the last year crying and complaining and accusing guys of leaking stories to dirt sheets, leaks a story to the dirt sheets that made Jack Perry look bad in an attempt to make himself look good.
Jack Perry, probably understandably annoyed at being dragged into CM Punks constant drama, takes a shot at punk on camera. Punk, who has taken several shots at guys he's not feuding with over the years, physically assaults Jack Perry.
And it's Jack Perry's fault?
Honestly, CM Punk die hard fans are wild. Cult of personality really is the perfect theme for him.

No one is saying that Jungle Dude is in the right for his part. The thing is is that JB has no history that I can think of of being a locker room shit stirrer and CM Punk has 20+ years of doing dumb shit and being a heat magnet backstage. The difference was that he always pretended like he was in the right because he wasn’t one of those big mean bullies that were running around back then…now he’s one of those jackass bullies himself.

Because starting physical altercations over silly bullshit done during televised play fighting and having zero professionalism is dumb as f***. Yeah because respecting the veterans has never been a thing in Pro wrestling. If punk is a man child what is Jack perry? He f***ed around and found out, as it should be. Punk is grown ass adult and with that "veteran" status dude should act like it and converse with Jack in a civilized manner. None of this confrontational attitude. Let Jack cool off and go and talk to him after your match like an adult and a "leader." Punk chose violence apparently. Not saying Jack shouldn't be suspended but that doesn't let Punk off the leash either. |

Because I think it's interesting that with the roles reversed Punk was still the one who made things get physical. Not to say that the person who goes to do the talking is inherently the less bad or more bad guy in a situation, because obviously that's reductive and dumb. But it is interesting that we've got Punk on both sides of it getting defended for the wrong thing everyone else did to him that totally justifies him throwing hands in either direction. |

Feel a bit bad for Perry, he was a dumbass for getting flustered about the glass spot (if that’s true remember sources are team Punk) but Punk goes out of his way to embarrass him by leaking it to the press all because of self inflicted damage to his own image over Hangman and Nemeth drama.
Perry then makes a reference on live TV that 95% of the audience wouldn’t get and suddenly he’s confronted by the guy who openly buries his co workers in shoot unplanned promos - the hypocrisy beggars belief.
Then Perry is faced with either fighting the “locker room leader” and bosses favorite or walking away and getting a “pussy” reputation (in all companies it’s still a macho, high testosterone industry and always will be, the fact that they play video game rather than trash hotel rooms hasn’t changed that) it’s really an impossible choice and now it looks like he will get the brunt of the punishment which will be severe as they have to send Punk a message but also punish Perry more to placate him.

Jungle Boy messed up but he's young and its the first time we've heard him having any issues. He has time to grow and learn. Punk is a man in his 40s who has a paper trail of decades worth of backstage drama. This dude doesn't learn, he doesn't grow and each time he's in a headline we know it will be bad.
For Jack it's "fool me once."
For Punk it's "alright you've tried to fool me 3727172 times, f*** outta here."
