I know a lot of punk haters don’t wanna hear this, but for Jack perry to call attention to it on live tv then step to the man MOMENTS BEFORE THE MAIN SHOW IS LIVE so highly unprofessional and he should be reprimanded more over Phil 9 times out of 10. Vince would shitcan him for less "Stepping to the man" is worse than the man assaulting you? Got it.

I guess this is Punk's new theme song going forward:
Changing Ron to Phil shouldn't be too hard.

Side quest: who in the world was stepping to RON SIMMONS that they needed to make a warning song about it!? 😂

Probably because he’s watched CM Punk do the same thing repeatedly and see that result in no censure whatsoever. Blame Perry for his actions, but save some blame for the organization that allowed another situation like this to fester.

He gotta hold that now , Punk should be forced to losing to Max immediately to end his storyline for this, but I wouldn’t suspend Phil personally

Don't worry. There will eventually be a third thread. And there will be surprise returns, skewers, and a dance off. Will we get more muffins as well? They may be a limited amount of muffins or they may be no muffins available at all for the third thread. -Rajah.com

All this drama for someone who isn't even the massive draw he thinks he is. Collision is not getting the ratings WarnerMedia expected from Punk and they are only going to get worse when College football starts. Its time to get rid and move on, and if Punk is so desperate to still wrestle, let Impact deal with his bullshit and his weird cult fanbase.
I would move the Brochachos Saga, Eddie to Collision to help the show, also continue featuring BCG, Ricky, continue rebuilding Keith Lee.
Impact would be his best choice and also DAmore knows how to tame egomaniacs(Bully Ray)
One of his good friends Lou D'Angeli has an executive role in the company and I'm sure they would hire his best friend Ace Steel, so Impact is likely his best option. Not sure his ego would handle wrestling in the Indy size small buildings that Impact runs though.

There are words that Jack Perry said that could be worth a chokehold. Are "That's real glass, cry me a river?" chokehold-worthy? Should someone be chokeholded for those words? Are those words that justify violence and stand as worse than any violence they provoke?

A lot of what I’ve heard Jack Perry say lately has made me like him way less. He’s definitely at fault to a degree here.
If the AEW travel department f***ed up to the point where one of their biggest names resorted to public transport, that’s not a great look.
Punk is a 45 year old man that wants to be a player coach. You go do your match and have a conversation with Perry about it after. You don’t do that in gorilla seconds before you go out.

NOW I will say punk fully had the option to say “well it ain’t Saturday” and keep it moving, but Phil’s never been that guy and perry by now knows that.

I like to imagine Punk was screaming at him and choking him, but he was solely motivated by the lessons he's learned over the years about putting on a safe, professional, entertaining wrestling show. "NINETY PERCENT OF THE AUDIENCE HAS NO CLUE WHAT YOU WERE TALKING ABOUT!! YOU STEPPED ALL OVER THE IMPACT OF YOUR OWN SPOT! IN KAYFABE, THAT GLASS IS ALWAYS REAL, AND IF YOU INTRODUCE EVEN THE POSSIBILITY THAT IT MIGHT NOT BE, THE CROWD GETS TAKEN OUT OF THE REALITY OF THE MATCH!!"

Bloody hell. Everyone involved is ridiculous. Perry shouldn’t be making snarky bull**** comments directed towards anybody, let alone the company’s biggest name during an international broadcast. Punk shouldn’t be putting his hands on coworkers backstage.
In regards to Perry (and, previously Paige)…what was their endgame plan? What benefit did they think they’d reap saying completely unplanned stuff about a famously-paranoid and temperamental star in front of the show’s entire audience? Perry, especially, because even if the backstage confrontation hadn’t happened, you know full-well that Punk would’ve immediately added him to the “people I don’t want on MY show” list.
And again, Punk, big name dude, should know not to choke/push/shove/punch/have your mentor try to eat coworkers. C’mon, man. You’re CM Punk. One of the best talkers out there. Use your words. That’s what you’re good, not fighting. Definitely not fighting for real.

There is no reason that any conversation that starts with "Hey don't tell me to cry you a river" should devolve into justified chokeholds. Not even "Hey put me in a chokehold and prove you're a tough guy". You're still bad for doing that. If someone tells you to do violence on them and you do violence you're a f***ing idiot who deserves blame and punishment. Like nah this is trash. Punk put his hands onto another person, that's punishable. Nothing that could have happened backstage justifies this and just because someone knows Punk has a history of being physical doesn't mean Punk somehow loses all accountability for being physical. Perry's a dumbass and he deserves to be punished but there is zero excuse for Punk touching someone else. Mean words and immaturity are not worse than physical violence.
