You’re discounting the order of events. “Cry Me a River” is the enciting incident, followed by direct confrontation moments before a live pay per view where it’s reported to be said he challenged him. NOW I will say punk fully had the option to say “well it ain’t Saturday” and keep it moving, but Phil’s never been that guy and perry by now knows that.

This is something I've never understood about you Punk defenders: the fact that you are defending Punk by saying that he's immature and people should know that. In regards to Perry (and, previously Paige)…what was their endgame plan? What benefit did they think they’d reap saying completely unplanned stuff about a famously-paranoid and temperamental star in front of the show’s entire audience? Should Punk have carried a months-long grudge over it to the point where he publicly buried the guy multiple times, including on live TV when he knew full well that it wasn’t leading to a match or that Hangman couldn’t respond? No, that’s psychotic behaviour.

The funny thing about these scrum threads is that it has gone on so long that relationships between those that have bickered pretty heavily throughout have improved dramatically as time took its course and now we are all just kind of standing around the wreckage like what the hell...

These kind of improvements on Punk's end would have ended the threads months ago...

We really should be thanking Punk for taking the low so FAN can grow.

Was what Jack Perry did unprofessional? Absolutely. That’s why he’s been suspended for it.

But why did he think it was permissible behaviour? Probably because he’s watched CM Punk do the same thing repeatedly and see that result in no censure whatsoever.

Blame Perry for his actions, but save some blame for the organization that allowed another situation like this to fester.
