Fighting Perry is one thing. Fighting him next to Tony is bonkers.
But trying to fight Miro? Almost ruining Joe's night?
Good god, Punk wanted to die that night, didn't he?

Honestly what he says make perfect sense in the context of CM Punk, who absolutely is of the latter group of people.
Just to paraphrase it to make it a little simpler to understand: when you commodify a friendship, you are quite literally only a friend when it benefits you akin to a business transaction, but will abandon the relationship the moment things get difficult or you don't get anything out of it. Sound familiar at all?
In a perfect world, friends would help even if it's hard work, stay up with you when you're losing sleep over stress, listen to your fears and sorrows and maybe even take on a little bit of that burden to help you through the rough times, even if you don't necessarily see eye to eye on something. At the end of the day, unfortunately EVERYONE has had a relationship commodified whether they care to admit it or not. Worse, there are some out there that absolutely take it to extremes; the narcissists and manipulators of the world will act like they're the best of friends with someone, but the moment they feel slighted or get into a disagreement with them, they're 'out'.
CM Punk's demeanor over the years is the defacto epitome of a person that commodifies the vast majority of his relationships. Outside of his wife, I legitimately can't think of anyone in his life that he hasn't turned on because he felt wronged by them (MAYBE Kofi? MAYBE Heyman?). It's only a matter of time before he does the same to FTR IMHO.

The Elite must feel pretty vindicated at the moment too. They absolutely did the right thing, despite some criticising them for it, by refusing to work a program with Punk and essentially ignoring him. You can't set up and start a feud with him because any week he could meltdown, physically attack someone backstage and get suspended. And then your big feud is ruined. He's never going to change, he's poison. If I was a big name in AEW I'd certainly want nothing to do with him. Honestly even if I were a jobber I'd rather stick to losing on Rampage than be anywhere near this asshole's orbit.

This whole saga's already convinced me that Brody King is like a completely pathetic person but if he seriously broke his hand in anger over Punk, um, being sent to his hotel room for choking someone then the dude's got like a walk-in freezer IQ.

Reaaaaalllly thinking TK's second chances speech at the scrum was at least partly about Punk now. Others used their second chances to better themselves, Punk kept fighting and almost blew the opening of the biggest show in AEW history.

What tf does that have to do with Hangman Page? I highly suggest reading the original Scrum thread. I know you joined in February of this year and weren't here for it, but there's a lot about Brawl Out and the long-standing issues with Punk that you've been inaccurate and ill-informed of. Please. I’m not ill informed on anything. The personal problems Punk and Cabana have is no business of Hangman’s. Page going into business for himself coupled with the Elite leaking to the dirt sheets started all of this. Unless you can give me a reason these people are involved in Punk and Cabana’s personal problem outside of them being friends with Colt. Which is no justification for what they did. Granted, and I will say this again because people think I’m just a blind Punk supporter, this is only still going because Punk only knows how to escalate things. He just can’t let it go himself and it’s so pathetic. He takes the little poke the Elite made, and pulled out a bazooka. Its ridiculous. This all should have been over after the Coward Shit promo. But Punk couldn’t help himself.

And no report EVER was "Punk definitely moved Cabana" it was "feeling among talents is that Cabana was moves because of Punk". The only one to ever claim it was from The Elite was Punk...

So we actually almost had Miro and Punk go at it after the match, too? It really never ends with Punk. This has to be the end.

I hope that's a typo, and it was Brodie King, or "Punk's side" is even more delusional than we thought lol

He's never going to change, he's poison. If I was a big name in AEW I'd certainly want nothing to do with him. And just because I have to keep banging on all of this, in parallel with them refusing and ignoring Punk, they have put over his buddies in title matches twice on PPV this year. This feels a really important comparison amid Punk scrapping with one of the Bucks' buddies and barring other friends of theirs from the building. AEW has only four major shows a year and two of them had the Bucks doing the business for people very close to and supporting of CM Punk. They've done the right thing every step of this crisis since the suspension and I'm sure it's very vindicating to know they can do busness and not be clowns and he can't.

As much as Tony loves Punk, I think, even with the first time, you can say, some bad shit happened, it was between two cliques, and maybe everyone can learn from it. Now, you have this guy fighting with someone else, almost fighting with another person, and almost affecting the show, and affecting the next PPV.
