Earlier in this thread you were writing about the long debunked "Young Bucks went looking for a fight" version of the Brawl Out story. That's ill-informed. And what did you think Hangman's "going into business for himself" was in direct regard to? Please re-read the original scrum thread. Do you truly believe the Elite never did anything wrong in this whole ordeal? Going by MULTIPLE sources, the event that led to all this went like this: Punk comes in and subsequently Cabana is no longer on TV or even Dark Speculation from journalists that some in the locker room felt Punk had something to do with that. (those same journalists in fact say specifically they didn't get this info from The Elite.) Punk and Hangman feud and Punk thinks Hangman took liberties with him in promos and in the match. (eyeroll) Punk gets injured in his match at All Out, scrum stuff where (going by multiple sources again) he had pre planned a rant about the Elite and Cabana and tells the Elite that if they want to talk, to come to him. The Elite then get HR, lawyers, etc and go to do just that when (again sources including Punk's side) Punk makes the first aggressive move and starts the fight. Kenny gets bitten and a Buck gets a chair thrown at him. Suspensions are given out, Elite come back and throw a little shade at Punk and then shut up and do their jobs. I'm not seeing ANYTHING here that would point towards The Elite having any instigation in this "feud" besides Hangman saying something in a promo. What-the hell-ever, dude is obviously an ego maniac and paranoid as hell. I'm saying all this knowing full well I should be bias on his side considering I once called him my favorite wrestler of all time but the facts are the facts.

Just when I thought I couldn’t love this story anymore, we get Punk trying to fight Miro and Tony Khan almost getting hit by monitors.

I'd say Phil Brooks is going through the wildest Midlife Crisis, but this was always in him.

Okay, also, like, wasn't Perry complaining a few months ago about disliking the Bucks and them holding him down or something? I definitely recall that being a thing so I really doubt he's "in their camp" or whatever. Punk's just a prick who attracts a lot of enemies.

God I wish more people had avatars so I could keep posts straight but we're responding to the guy who implied that pictures of the travel manager with the Young Bucks and a misidentification of the vehicle they were picked up in are signs that Punk not having a ride wasn't a coincidence, breath is wasted here. Just open up photoshop and shitpost on the idea of Punk fighting Miro

Yeah. Yes. With the exception of Hangman making one inside-baseball comment that no one watching understood at the time, to the dude whose entire gimmick is bringing up people's real life baggage, there is zero actual evidence that any of them actually did anything wrong at any point in this whole stupid saga and any claims they did are willful ignorance. No, they’re not. But glad you and the group think police can decide it to be so 🫡 I mean, yeah, they are. If you genuinely think "firing off some backhanded Tweets occasionally" and "ignoring this raving lunatic who is trying to bully them into working a program with him, instead of talking it out" is in any way equivalent to everything that Punk has done, then I am f***ing thankful that I am apparently part of the "group think police."

I'm starting to think that whole "WBD loves Punk and are going to give AEW a billion dollar deal because of him" thing was more BS put out by Punk's camp and WBD doesn't really care that much.
Then again, this is WBD so it wouldn't be the first time and won't be the last they did something stupid.

I'm picturing the monitors falling on Tony like the time the Raw set fell on Vince I think the first time that I ever consciously thought "oh this isn't going anywhere" watching wrestling was the stage falling on Vince. Like get up you weirdo I know yr alive.

Something tells me he doesn't matter as much in this very moment.

Punk and Hangman feud and Punk thinks Hangman took liberties with him in promos and in the match. (eyeroll) There is no “think” here. Everyone is in agreement that Hangman went into business for himself. And I agree with the rest of your post! Why do I have to keep saying that everything after Coward Shit is Punk’s fault?

Come to think of it, given Punk's clear pattern of trying to proactively weaponize the media to spin things in his favor, the most likely explanation for the Colt stuff is that he leaked it when he caught wind of people being irritated that he might have cost Colt his job.

Hell, the night Punk first called out Hangman and started this whole stupid saga I bought a Punk shirt. I didn't go in looking to hate the dude, I've decided to because every step of the way he's demonstrated he's a piece of shit.

And I'll throw in here: I fully buy that the Young Bucks are insufferable human beings and that they're cliquish guys who play politics. There's not a lot of evidence of them doing anything more than going to bat for their friends who happen to be good to great wrestlers, and that's not a sin, but I can surmise situations where it makes them an aggravating presence in the locker room. Most of that is built from conjectures on how they run BTE, so it's not the most solid evidence, but it's not nothing - when a show that could be a major promotional tool for AEW is centered on who they happen to hang out with, well, that's within their rights to do, but it almost makes me glad that Khan seems hesitant to push people who get popular from BTE. But every single person who's publicly gotten mad at them for it has looked worse, from the Gunns complaining about Perry getting his spot due to Bucks nepotism (when like, Luke Perry's son who wrestles good was going to get pushed regardless of his friendships, come on) (and like, you are the Gunns, you are a nepotism hire no matter how much you make good on it), to Punk and Steel escalating the conflict into physical fights, including at least one time where he did so after telling people they can come find him and hash things out to his face. The Bucks come across to me as guys I'd roll my eyes at and never want to speak to. Punk comes across as someone who would make my workplace miserable no matter how far I stayed away from him.
