I sincerely wonder if Punk has a touch of mental illness or clinical depression? That's what keeping me from celebrating and saying "you deserve it." Guy objectively has the life. Fame, Beautiful Wife, money etc. But he always finds himself in trouble and thinks he's above everyone and everything. Considering AJ Lee has been a big advocate for mental health and seeing a therapist, it's interesting that Punk seemingly hasn't.

I’m sure someone else mentioned this already but it must have taken these past 6 days to make sure their asses are covered legally, scouring over Punk’s contract and such. I remember someone asked on Tuesday why the ‘investigation’ was taking so long if there were so many witnesses, multiple cameras, etc. I’m sure Punk will sue, because there’s nothing more alpha tough guy dude bro badass than litigation, and I hope Tony’s team crushes him. Yeah no making sure it's airtight is exactly why you call it an investigation. Have people go over it, have company lawyers come in, write down actual testimony, and that way it's not the boss unilaterally firing someone. Even in the statement, it's carefully worded to say the investigation came to the conclusion that Tony should do it, rather than "in light of the investigation I'm firing him". It's all very specific, lawyer-enforced policy to make sure the company moves smartly and has tangible things that, even if a lawsuit does proceed, lets them deposit an organized set of findings right into discovery and make clear that they've done their work.

HHH: I'm totally willing to give you a chance! I can be a professional. Punk: You're making me Doink, aren't you? HHH: *Holding Doink costume and makeup* "Possibly" Well, Punk already has the clown shoes, so might as well.

WE'VE REACHED THE LUCKY PAGE NUMBER!! I have this shirt around here somewhere. Wait a sec, though his reminded me, in spite of those graphics, I remember one of his first shirts said “luck is for losers”. And that was one of his forced catchphrases (I think there was like a monster truck toy that had him say it if you pressed his face). “Luck is for losers” more like “being a verbally and physically abusive prick is for losers” hahaha got em

If WWE is willing to roll the dice on him, he stands to make more money when his no-compete ends than he would 2+ years from now if he wastes time in litigation he simply would not win. Would he even have a no-compete after being terminated with cause? Or even if he did, would he even have an incentive to keep it if he's in full bridge-burning mode? Of course that's all assuming WWE would take him back in the first place, granted. (There's a part of me giggling like Newman from Seinfeld at the thought of Punk going back to the 'E driving Cody back to AEW, though I don't recall offhand what kind of a dynamic Punk and Cody had before.) WWE is in a situation where I could see it going either way. There are people in high positions, like Seth and Cody, that do not like Punk, but Punk is also A. money, and B. someone that they can write off as a victory in having him swallow his pride and cash their checks. As for no compete, no idea. I know Alberto still had one when WWE fired him for hitting an employee, but WWE ultimately dropped it when they initially tried for something ludicrous like 100 days unpaid or some shit like that that they knew would never stand up in court.

You know on the one hand it's kind of weird to see someone who has been on the forum for 18 years minimum devolve into becoming a gimmick poster, but on the other hand it's sobering. We're all one bad day away from thirty threads about hating Hawaii. My gimmicks are at least cute, right?! Oh wait, this is about somebody else.

What's Phil brooks doing in the impact zone? I can actually see it I'd they give him a live mic and let him air his grievances. You know he's itching to tear apart everyone who's 'wronged' him

I wonder if Danhsausen keeps caping for Punk, or just lays low on it for a bit. In any case, he and Brody King (I guess) are injured and thus at least have to not immediately worry about picking some side on walking out or not. FTR with the title belts and Cash with the legal concerns also maybe have an out, as well. Won't stop Punk from cutting them off like he has others like Hornswoggle.

Punk managing to smooth things out with Kenny just to get fired due to getting pissed off over Jungle Boy wanting to jump through glass is just magical.
