Pretty effectively torpedoes Punk’s bargaining power with WWE when they know he doesn’t have AEW on the other side for a bidding war. My NWA dream is still alive!

You say "every time" but it's literally just this one time, 12 years after he beat him on PPV RVD also immediately comes to mind. Jeff Hardy is another one. and there's more but I really don't feel like digging at the moment. RVD got in trouble four years after Triple H buried him, by which time WWE had already decided to make RVD their champion, so Triple H doesn't get any credit from me for that one. Jeff I'll give you, but Edge certainly didn't have any qualms about putting him over.

I remember he chastised Edge and Jericho for watching hockey before a match at some point He should know it's very bigoted try and stop Canadians of their religious traditions

Nice leader that wanted to abandon ship pre Brawl In...
I theorized the same when there was news of Punk trying to insert himself into the blackpool vs Elite feud

The dude went nuclear at f***ing Wembley Stadium, regardless of the he said/blah blah those damn elite flippy buckaroos were being pricks, he resorted to violence at their biggest show of the year in front of their largest crowd in one of the most famous stadiums in the world. You do not want CM Punk resorting to violence at Wrestlemania in the biggest wrestling company on earth because he can't help but, idk.. be pissy at Grayson Waller for dunking on him or be mad at Austin Theory for calling him soft.

Wild thought:
WHAT IF... AJ served Phil his divorce papers yesterday? Then, he woulda been fired at the beginning and end of his marriage.
(Probably not true.)

I'll give him credit for not putting over Scott Steiner (who was awful when he came to WWE, mostly due to a bad foot IIRC) and that's about it. Punk's a huge c***, but HHH still should've kept his nose out of his business.

I hope that one day we hear details of the conversation between Joe and Punk.

you know what gets me with the Punk thing?back in the all out scrum Punk said if anyone had a problem with him come talk to him. and with Jack instead of just talking to him he felt the need to allegedly aggressively ask Jack what his problem was, shove him and then choke him.

catching up on this after I was out last night — I actually respect Tony a lot more for that Collision statement. Always hated it when wrestlers disappear from a show without warning and he had to know he'd get a lot of shit one way or another

I took a quick nap a dreamed that Punk (it didn't look like him but I knew it was him) was in my house wearing a 'My Chemical Romance' t-shirt. Not sure what that means.
Also,
I hate when that happens. I accidentally threw monitors at my mom last week.

CM Punk thinks he's a modern day Terry Funk, but he's a modern day Terry Bollea. I kind of got the impression more that he saw himself as Harley Race or Bruiser Brody. Thing is, it's not 1982. He thinks he's this revolutionary figure. He talked about how he was going to change the game, but that's all it was....talk. Meanwhile, you had others who did just that. People who helped lay the groundwork for AEW and brought about change in the landscape of pro wrestling. Then Punk comes in and tries to put himself front and center above everyone else. I still think that he's envious of that, and it wouldn't surprise me if that were the case.

Inb4 the report of Punk getting knocked the f*** out by a random dude on the streets cause he messed with the wrong person. the first town is where Steve Blackman lives? Next thing you know, we get a real-life scene akin to Happy Gilmore, where Punk picks a fight with someone and gets his ass handed to him.

I mean, in a sane industry, totally but they’ve a fierce habit of overlooking shit if they think enough time has passed and there’s a dollar to be made from it.

I think the only way he ends up in WWE is if Triple H can’t resist the urge to bring him in and absolutely bury what’s left of Punk’s career. “Doofus son-in-law, right Phil? You’re putting Theory over in an I Quit match tonight, pal. Keep it short and make the kid look strong.” Punk would have to be kept on a VERY short leash. Also, he would be getting one hell of a cold reception on arrival. i mean you say that but a lot of wwe fans don’t watch or pay attention to AEW do i don’t think he’d get the reception you think he’d get. just look at Cody, was booed in AEW but is getting massive cheers in WWE

WWE aren't risking upsetting Roman, Seth, KO, Sammi, Miz, AJ, Cody etc to bring back Punk, I'm not sure why so many Punk fans think he will be welcomed back with open arms.
WWE doesn't need the drama that Punk brings
