Meanwhile, CM Punk apparently did run William Regal out of the company, and was banning wrestlers up and down the card from showing up on Collision, oh and also y'know Colt Cabana vanished.

Alright, I've now seen the Punk stans going full off the deep end. I already blocked them, but someone -unironically- claimed that Punk got fired... BECAUSE OF THE TRANS RIGHTS T-SHIRT. Yes, you read that right. The company that made Nyla Rose their second ever Women's Champion fired Punk because the Bucks are evil meanie Christians, therefore they MUST be transphobic. Oh, he pointed out that trans rights sign in England and he gets fired THE NEXT WEEK!? Can't POSSIBLY be a coincidence! And it can't POSSIBLY be connected to his backstage behaviour! I wouldn't bother replying to them but part of me wants to just send this in response: |

The way Kenny Omega grips water bottles is killing me lmfao I swear I use the same technique when I’m trying to quickly down an entire bottle of water in a second. Sidenote: that’s clearly a blue-labeled water bottle in the first segment, the plastic is super soft and easily is crushed in his hands. No way the thing could stand the corrosive ingredients of ANY cola drink, let alone Pepsi. |

As for Jack Perry and his suspension, it's earned. Tony Khan needs to put his foot down and while Perry isn't responsible for Punk acting like a madman, he did provoke this with an unplanned shoot comment during a match. Your statement, in the eyes of an abuser like Punk and his enablers, implies that Jack brought it on himself. "If JB didn't make his comment, then Punk wouldn't have went crazy pants. So if you think about it, this is mostly Jack's fault." I heard that so many times about my abuser. "The only reason they reacted they did is because you did [x]. This is on you." A certain enabler would refer to dealing with my abuser as "playing the game" - doing whatever it takes to make them happy. "This happens because you never learned how to play the game." It wasn't until later that I realized that my ability to "play the game" meant nothing. My abuser wanted a fight, period. And that fight was going to happen, whether or not I avoided a confrontation in that moment. Same thing here. Let's say Jack uses sugar glass and keeps his mouth shut. He "plays the game." Shit is still going to go down that day at Wembley. Phil Brooks was in a bad mood and wanted to take it out someone he deemed to be weaker. The end. I think a better way of saying it is this: "Jack Perry was suspended for making shooty comments to the camera. CM Punk was fired for being an abuser." Treat them like two separate incidents. Because they are. I get what you mean. I do. But when it comes to talking about abuse, word choice matters. |

But now we're here and it's f***ing unreal. Just so much. So crazy. But here we are. It's real. It's embarrassing. It just sounds outrageous and fake, like some cartoonish shitpost made in here to make fun of Punk. But the story has legs. I've lost track about forty/fifty pages ago. What was up with CM Punk and Regal? |

So interestingly a peek back earlier in the thread shows someone posting the Regal rumour and it being met without a ton of response maybe just because it sounded so outlandish and was so poorly sourced that I think most people just brushed it off. But now we're here and it's f***ing unreal. Just so much. So crazy. But here we are. It's real. It's embarrassing. It just sounds outrageous and fake, like some cartoonish shitpost made in here to make fun of Punk. But the story has legs. I've lost track about forty/fifty pages ago. What was up with CM Punk and Regal? On the night of Regal's debut, Punk got in his face, and said that he didn't like or trust Regal and felt that he was a stooge for Triple H. Despite the fact that Regal and Triple H's friendship has lasted for nearly 30 years. |

The Spurs landed Tim Duncan in the Draft shortly after they traded Rodman for Will Perdue, which alongside David Robinson, laid the foundation for one of the most successful teams in American professional sports with 5 championships and a run as top contenders for over 15 years... So yeah... They did fine after they traded Rodman.

Reminds me after Mania this year when he said Cody losing was akin to Dusty's "Hard Times" promo and dealing with the Horseman. Just no 1:1 comparison in absolutely any way. Still can't believe there's a wrestling podcast that popular featuring the opinions and perspectives from the guy who ran a then-hottest ever Ring of Honor into the ground. It's a conversation for another thread, but when doing a rewatch seeing him seep into ROH in 2017 knowing the doom that was coming, and then with his heel turn in 2018 having the entire weekly television show booked around him which nobody wanted to see, and then when things seemed optimisic those first two months of 2019 with all the promising new faces in the company followed by the whiplash of the disasterous G1 Supercard MSG show and things just plummeting - followed by the immeadiate improvement of shows in 2020 as soon as he was gone so they could make arguably the most enjoyable and objectively the most covid-safe moral wrestling show of the pandemic through a damn amazing 2021 - just another one of those hyper-damning one bad apple's effect on the bunch situations. |
