I didn't grow up watching Sesame Street.
I know, I'm weird.

This one hurts me hard because Bob was my favorite live action person when I was a kid.

Imagine being so influential, and a pure force of good and kindness, on so many generations of kids.

RIP. Everyone from my 80’s childhood is leaving. Hopefully “Teeny Little Super Guy” isn’t next.

Aside from Sesame Street, McGrath also had a career as a musician, even finding success in Japan.

And I was just thinking about him. Yes this is a really sad one. And Luis too this year.
Wow, he was 90? Meaning he was 38 when he started?

Grew up watching Sesame Street... learned a lot about being a good person from him and the show.
Rest in peace, sir. Give Mr. Hooper a hug for us... and Luis... and David... and while you're there, Jim and Carol...

What's eerie is that 3 years ago, we lost Carol Spinney around this same time. Yeah I know, coincidences...
And I am starting to kind of understand Sesame Workshop, HBO, or whoever putting the classic humans into retirement. It would be totally sad to have them on the show still, then they're gone. Man, to have Luis and Bob tribute episodes of Sesame Street in one year...

Bob's lessons, and the entire Sesame Street gang for that matter, will live forever, and that's what's most important.

Right in the god damn feels. Another part of my childhood gone. The other characters' social media have similar tributes. So did the official Mister Rogers' Neighborhood Facebook.
