I always figured Millie Bobby Brown would be the biggest star to come out of the show, but I don’t think she’s done anything outside of the American Godzilla movies. She was in the incredibly underrated Enola Holmes movies. Is it bad I’ve never even heard of those?

Didn't like Afterlife too much, and this looks kinda the same. I wish they'd either make a GB movie with the original cast + Egon Jr. or go with a completely different cast with an original cameo to explain how they got proton packs or something... Yeahhhhhh, about that..... ;-)

I am really surprised that of the Stranger Things cast, he has arguably ahd the best career since. I just find him to be entirely mediocre in whatever I see him in. I always figured Millie Bobby Brown would be the biggest star to come out of the show, but I don’t think she’s done anything outside of the American Godzilla movies. I think she will. Wouldn't surprise me if her career doesn't follow a similar trajectory as Scarlett Johansson's, making her initial splash as a child actor, then getting cast in a bunch of obscure stuff in her late teens, before breaking through with some big projects in her 20's. I think she has the same kind of X factor, especially among the Stranger Things cast.

This might be the movie that finally marks my return to the movie theater in a covid world
Saw an ad for it last night, I’m excited

After going after James Rolfe for refusing to do a review of Ghostbusters: Answer the Call, I’d have preferred Patton Oswalt not join the franchise.
Love Ghostbusters and Patton is probably my favorite comedian of the last 15 years, but I could’ve done without seeing them together.
Excited for the new movie. Probably because of the impending release, that ridiculous Japanese 8-disc collection of GB1, GB2, and Afterlife was on sale. Picked it up this weekend and can’t wait to dive into those 9 hours of bonus material.

Since Hollywood didn’t have much to offer in terms of new content, the local AMC loaded up on the feel-good classics. I had seen it many times before, and even dressed up as Egon for Halloween in first grade, but never on the big screen.

The local mom-and-pop theater where I live did the same. Got to see Ghostbusters, Back to the Future, the first Friday the 13th, and the Night of the Living Dead remake from 1990, and had a blast (partly due to having the auditoriums almost completely to myself).

I think it's weird this comes out next weekend and I've seen no commercials for it on TV. I think I remember seeing a teaser for it in previews at a movie I saw a couple months ago.

Sounds like it's a really crowded film that really doesn't do anyone justice other than Grace and Aykroyd's characters. Kind of what I figured going by the previews. Still want to see it though.

And honestly, I don't remember much about Afterlife other than McKenna Grace with Logan Kim as her plucky sidekick. They could've cut Finn Wolfhard and Celeste O'Connor out of the movie entirely and I don't think it would've affected it much.

With you there. Finn I think could have more to him in terms of what they could do with him, him being more of a builder than a scientist has legs to it, but really don't think they need to bring EVERYONE in to use a proton pack. That goes for most of the returning cast from the originals as well. Aykroyd and Hudson are fine, but I don't see the need for Potts or Murray to be honest.
