So say Roman loses at Mania to Cody or whatever and we have the brand split a week later. How do you split the titles? I say have Cody defend both titles and he loses the Universal before the wwe title to a guy (say Rollins) then he keeps the other title on his show

Cody wins the WWE title from Roman on night 1, keeps it on Raw. Sami wins the Universal Title on night 2, keeps it on Smackdown

If I was fantasy booking... I would have Cody win both belts at Mania. Then on Raw Cody does a promo about America being the land of opportunity and where dreams come true and all that jazz, so he's going to drop the Raw belt and there's a tournament or something for it to crown a new Raw champion. Cody then goes to Smackdown and keeps the Smackdown belt.

I believe the wwe title was the raw belt from last count right?

Now that Vince is gone, it may be safe to combine them, so long as they keep the World Title history.
Same with the Tag Titles.

If they're not going to unify them, I would have him defend both titles in two separate matches at Mania. There was never a unification, he's holding two titles, so there's no reason he can't defend them separately

Cody wins the title at Wrestlemania. The next night on Raw he's confronted by Seth. To finish off their storyline after Seth injured Cody last year a title match is announced for the following week (which is also the draft episode). Seth gets drafted to Smackdown then later during their match there's some kind of weird finish like a double pin. Seth says he was screwed and Smackdown should have the title. HHH or whoever says he wasn't screwed, the ref made the right call but he's right that Smackdown deserves a world title and he brings back the big gold belt for Smackdown while they start just calling Cody's title the WWE title again, dropping the Universal part. Smackdown has a tournament for the next month or so to determine the champion.

Have Roman enter the Rumble - he wants to make sure he has a night off at 'Mania - but he's told he can do that only if he puts the titles up in the Rumble itself.
So the new winner takes both titles.
The end sees a 1994 double winner ending, and so the authority figure that made Roman put up both titles decides they each win 1 title.
Roman takes the Universal, whomever wins with him takes the WWE.
Onwards we go to Elimination Chamber, which could be for #1 contender to the WWE at 'Mania, while Rock returns to start his program with Roman, which WWE seems to feel needs a title even though it doesnt, and definitely doesnt need two!

I actually like it the way it is now. Same, though once Rhonda is gone I'd unify the Women's too. If nothing else only one Women's title would allow more options for the tags, and after that is settled maybe a Women's IC/US/NA/TV title (but balance out things first so we don't get another AEW TBS title thing)

They shouldn't. There's zero need for 2 tag champs, 2 world champs, an IC, a US, 2 women champs, women's tag and you're dream a women's mid card. Since once doesn't exist that's just 11 people as champions. Which is just half under the NFL, all champions.

So it looks like Roman might keep both of the titles and a dude on Raw gets a consolation prize.

Either fully eliminate the brand split or have two sets of titles. If you're going to have a whole roster for each show, might as well have stuff for everyone to fight for. AEW has shown you can have a strong tag division with just 2-3 hours of weekly TV. No reason SmackDown and RAW both can't have that on their own for example.

Split their ass in two so they'll be twice as butt.

I wish they'd just split the belts up already so Raw can have a main event title, I know they are trying to make the U.S title the main one but it is just not the same IMO.
I'll believe it when I see it as far as the New Raw title is concerned.

This f***ing double title shit has been such a double edged sword and I hate it and it needs to end now. I really don’t care anymore. If a new one is created, at the least, we’ll have two world titles that truly seem and look different. So, that could be kewl I guess.
