For me, it's not "giving ROH enough TV time," it's been pushing AEW talent over ROH talent, the same talent that carried ROH through the pandemic. I get it. Push Jericho as your champ. Build a storyline around a heel champ, but this only works for me if one of those lost ROH talents usurp him. Not an AEW talent, a Dalton Castle, a Jonathan Gresham, a Shane Taylor etc. Until recently, Bandido should've been that guy. I love Claudio, but he is AEW, and fair point to any former ROH talent that wishes not to be associated with a brand they left years ago. Much like Eddie Guerrero not wanting to work ECW's One Night Stand. Honestly, this is a holding pattern until either the ROH name is lost or moves beyond "AEW presents ROH." Until then, this is one promotion wearing another promotion's skin. The problem is, the true ROH guys are either "no-names" that only insider fans know about and thus have no market value to put on TV besides doing jobs, or are total basket cases that Tony just doesn't want to put up with, like Gresham or the Briscoes. There's a reason why Khan got the belt of Jonathan Gresham ASAP and he's been a non-factor ever since (well, besides him being Jonathan Gresham), and if you're not a guy Tony wants to push or work with, then you're essentially just collecting dust. Silas Young didn't even get into the match for his team when they were getting squashed in his last AEW appearance, as an example of the former. It feels like Ring of Honor is meant to be AEW's developmental system or home for their castoffs, which does not bode well for the actual ROH talent that were there when the company folded. And given this is the apparent plan, we've been stuck on this holding pattern for quite some time.

They should honestly do a brand split, maybe make Rampage the ROH show.

They should honestly do a brand split, maybe make Rampage the ROH show. If they wanted to make anything existing into an ROH show it'd have to be one of the Youtube ones. Absolutely no chance WBD would sign off on replacing the name on a show that's already struggling with one for a weaker brand and Tony couldn't just unilaterally choose to do so without their approval.

He spent a lot of money on ROH and so far I am not sure if he's going to make a return on it. They really need a TV deal already and they really need to keep both rosters separate, and he can't alienate the ROH fans either by just making it AEW-Lite. I do see a lot of comments here about just putting ROH on YouTube and I'm not sure if many are aware how much of a financial loss that would be, especially if they taped it outside of AEW, elsewhere. To tape ROH TV before AEW tapings would be a problem as well. Theres only so many matches a crowd will be able to sit through before getting burned out - especially if they are still taping Elevation before Dynamite/Rampage as well.
I think ROH TV needs a completely different crew, staff, feel. And I hope a lot more ROH originals stick around.

Shane Taylor also had some comments when Tony bought ROH that were strong enough for me to be surprised he showed up on Rampage and will be at Final Battle. Deppen also had comments that made it somewhat surprising when he popped up on Dark. That being said, I do think something was wrapped up but got delayed in announcement. But I do think Jericho's stuff has been overall pretty good.

Yeah, I remember the rumor in 2001 being Vince wanted to turn Raw into a WCW show with Smackdown being the WWF show but TNN shut that down immediately. They viewed WCW as a dead brand and were like we paid for WWF, not WCW. I can see a similar situation here. Why would TNT willingly agree to rebrand the show to something with less name value that was never really mainstream even at its peak? I think a ROH TV show on a decent network with a good timeslot is a very hard sell and Tony will have done an amazing job if he somehow manages to pull it off.

But hey at least this is a sign that JAS vs BCC is ending this Saturday.

That sounds like either, "A TV deal is about to be announced," or, "A TV deal is going nowhere so we're scaling back." Based on the wording it reads more like the latter but we'll see I guess.

He also mentioned Juice doing title defenses in NJPW if he wins and said he'd have more on AEW/ROH/NJPW on Saturday. Makes me think there's a concrete plan in place now.

At least Tony seems aware ROH has overstayed its welcome in the capacity it was going I think having the ROH belts defended on other promotions would be much cooler, Juice with the TV title in New Japan would be a cool idea I will stand pat however and say Ring of Jericho has been the most entertaining thing about the ROH brand in a minute and the matches have been stellar. I don't feel like my times been wasted with that at all.

A problem with it was the amount of ROH champs they could feasibly have him beat before they expanded it to all titles, but getting the Castle, Bandido, and Ishii matches out of it were a definite win in my book
