Who is your favorite of the two matches rated five stars by Meltzer this year?

I still haven't seen Seth vs. Cody, so I have to give it to GUNTHER and Sheamus.

Cody is a great moment and match, but with that Wales crowd and those 2 beating the shit out of each others it's GUNTHER/Sheamus for me.

Gunther/Sheamus.
I don't think Seth/Cody was even a top 5 WWE match of the year. I think Cody's injury made Dave rate it higher. It was a fine match but with how rarely he gives out 5 stars to WWE I found it a strange choice. There's probably 50 WWE matches since the attitude era I'd give a 5 star rating to over that match. I don't even think it was the best of the Cody/Seth trilogy.

I've never felt so uncomfortable watching a match before. I still voted for Gunther versus Sheamus, though, because I technically enjoyed it more but the Cody match was definitely more interesting to me.

I was there live so it’s Gunther v Sheamus for me.

My first thought was Cody vs Seth at Hell In A Cell before opening this thread. Only match from 2022 I've ever gone back and rewatched a bunch of times was Stone Cold vs KO at WrestleMania for the entrances, promos, and post match beer bash.

Why are these the only options? I preferred Cody/Seth, KO/Austin and Becky/Bianca from Mania to both of them

Not seen the former but feel comfortable voting against it regardless. I kind of just can't help but look at that whole thing as, "Wow, Cody is an idiot and the company's gross for letting him do it."

Gunther vs Sheamus - Clash at the Castle, IMHO.
