showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-wednesday-12-7-2022-top-150-cable-originals-network-finals.htmlIt was good enough for #3 and the best rated show after the two NBA games. So not great in a vacuum, but still pretty good in context of everything else that night. All demos except 50+ did pretty solid. Seems like live viewership for wrestling is down across the board. Raw and NXT had low weeks, too, with Rampage being outright terrible. Can't really say one way or another about Smackdown because A. it's on network TV which is an entirely different data set, and B. last week it was on FS1 so that obviously is an aberration. Also just seems to be the season where a lot of people aren't really watching cable TV compared to previous weeks.

Pretty good since Meltzer was worried that the Spectrum cable issues might hurt it (the NHL as well).

That's better than I was expecting considering the problems some had watching it.

I summed up the main storyline on twitter.
I kid I kid...I liked the show overall and AEW has really felt more back to basics recently which I prefer after all the chaos. The Spectrum issue played a huge part in this according to Dave.

My friend had problems watching AEW last night and I thought it was just a thing local to her or the region she lives in. And she has Spectrum. She regularly watches both WWE and AEW but peaced out after the issues last night.
Spectrum's one of the largest cable providers in the country so if they were having issues, that'd have a big effect not just on AEW, but television viewership as a whole. So that explains a LOT about last night's lower numbers and, at least for one night, why cable viewership was down overall.

The only spectrum I see is the spectrum of lies and tears being shed as the clock tolls ever louder. Does it scare you that every passing day, your indie wrestling Barbie dream house looks more and more like it'll be foreclosed on? Muffle your sobs in another lame indie t-shirt and accept that the day of reckoning is soon nigh and Tony Khan will pay in blood for his sins.

Considering that they finished third on cable with the Spectrum issues and this number could've been higher without them, I consider this a good number.

Was a good show, disappointing rating. I'm surprised the NBA gets such high numbers I only really watch it during the playoffs and even then don't really care. I liked it back when Jordan and Kobe played.

Never had an NBA Team here in Pittsburgh so never got as invested in the NBA in particular teams like the NFL and NHL like I've always had with the Steelers and Penguins. Closest I ever got invested was Jordan with the Bulls and Kobe with the Lakers but that wasn't really the same since they weren't my hometown teams. Lebron is cool just never got that invested probably since he's a Cleveland guy and Pittsburgh hates Cleveland. How come they get an NBA team and we don't? I remember asking that question to my dad since I was a kid LOL.

Can pretty much throw the number out given the Spectrum issues. If anything, it's a good sign to see the demo up in spite of that.

It still getting 3rd on Cable despite the Spectrum issues is a win in my book.
I think Winter is Coming is gonna do well, they've set the show up well so far imo

I think people would dunk on AEW ratings less if just once hardcore AEW fans would go - ooof yeah bad rating, they need to look at what they are doing.
It’s always some explanation any time a number dips.

And that goes for WWE ratings, too. So don't pull that "lol aew fanboys" garbage.

If an issue wasn't resolved until 9 PM, then I wouldn't expect a massive jump or anything because those folks probably weren't going to watch a still screen or out of sync audio for an hour. The affect would be that viewership across the board would just be lower than you would expect across every quarter. It lowers the ceiling.
