I actually tried edibles for the first time over Lady weekend. I have made a new year’s resolution to cut alcohol out of my life all but completely, and since it’s now legal in my state I decided to give it a try as a potential alternative. I made a small mistake; I cut the gummy in half instead of into quarters. And yet all I experienced was sluggishness. Might add the sleep has been truly restful for taking them. Hopefully it’s the start of a healthier me.

Legal in my state, but my wife has a huge hang up about it so I can't do it unless I'm looking for a divorce

I quit drugs and smoking almost 20 years ago. Quit drinking for a bit, got back on, almost died, no drinking for 7 years now.
I have bad anger, depression, anxiety, OCD. So I recently decided to try some CBD/THC gummies. I take one after dinner with my vitamins. Started with a quarter now on a half.
Seems to be helping. I am not as angry all the time. And if something makes me angry I get mad for a minute then move on. It doesnt start an hour long tirade about everything wrong in our lives.

Seems to target ailments differently. Might wanna look into it if you haven’t already. I’ve either had incredible or boring results from edibles. Does help with sleep though, so kudos on that 👍🏻

I remember the first time I tried edibles, I'm 19 a friend made me special white chocolate macadamia nut cookies for a birthday gift. Took them to work and ate one 30 min later nothing so I make the cardinal sin of edibles and eat cookie number 2 another 30 minutes pass and I eat cookie 3. Now after 3 is when I felt it and holy hell I was a complete mess I couldn't function normally to save my own life and the whole kitchen could tell so they had me do dishes for fear I'd slow the line, or injury myself. Most of the shift after that is a blur but the next day I got it from the head chef telling me he's seen turtles move faster and if I ever get that messed up on the clock again it would be the last time I worked there.

My job still prohibits cannabis use, but I like seeing how common it's become, especially as an alternative for alcohol.
Did you know that your body naturally produces endocannabinoids? Yep. Long distance runners call it the runner's high, people experiencing euphoria during religious ceremonies? That's your body's endocannabinoid system.
We made illegal and destroyed generations of lives for using and possessing something our body naturally produces.

I feel the same with alcohol, despite being five years clean next month. But down the line, ppl are going to look at the trajectories of both and be like “the f*** was wrong with them?”

I am extremely pro marijuana, but edibles never get me high no matter how much I eat. They just make me lazy then tired with no actual "high".

Some idiot in a facebook group was whining about how tobacco has become vilified while marijuana is becoming acceptable. I replied its because the generations that were told weed bad, smoke cigs now have cancer and need the weed to feel better.

Edibles are legal in my state and everything has to be dosed at 5 mg, even if you’ve never done edibles before 5 mg isn’t enough to give you a bad time.
Honestly from a relaxation standpoint you can’t beat it. Having a couple around 8:30 and go down the YouTube rabbit hole for a couple hours and get a great night sleep.
It’s cut my at home beer consumption down to almost nothing. I’ve lost weight and know I’ll feel fine in the morning

I’m 40 and despite it always being around with my friends, I can count the amount of times I’ve smoked marijuana with both hands. I got into edibles through my girlfriend(now wife)during Covid lockdown and love them. I rarely drink nowadays, but we do a 10MG edible pretty much every night we’re gonna be home and it really helps us decompress while we watch tv for 2-3 hours before bed. The only drawback are those f***ing munchies.

Well now you know that person is an idiot, and does not deserve to have an opinion. Tobacco hasn't become vilified, the companies that sell it has. I type all this while smoking a Backwoods cigar and sitting in the sun. My only hope is that the carcinogens from the cigar kill the carcinogens from the sun.

Edibles are not legal here in Australia. But curious to try to help with my anxiety.
I do have to trip to the U.S in the north east region in May. So guessing that will be a good time to try.
I have a stop over in Vancouver BC but even though I think it’s legalized in Canada I doubt I will get any at the airport (they should be mandatory with how nervous some get flying)
So I might make a quick stop into a dispensary in Jersey while in NY and pick up some.

I have left frontal lobe encephalopathy due to a brain injury and I rarely hit REM. I have used it on and off now for a few years in place of any pharmaceuticals and it has been life altering. There is a still an absolutely huge stigma though in the rural areas
