Apparently these type of botches have been pretty common recently... I see twitter is full of gifs now of AEW wrestlers with the exact same botch as if it somehow makes this one "less than" Man can we just call these the "What About Wars" or something? Crazy Here is the tweet I was referring to and Here is Top Dolla actually completing that move The AEW Botches account blocked me a while back because I pointed out (like many others did) that one of their botches was just a normal spot and they freaked out. The account just generally sucks from what I've seen. It seems like Maffew is the only one who can make botches both funny but also lighthearted.

To loosely quote a Dusty Rhodes bit of advice: "Don't do shit you don't know how to do."

Onto the actual spot itself, one thing I was taught in wrestling school is that if you can’t do something, do something else to make it easier so if you can’t spring over someone after running into the corner, jump twice and leverage from one of the other corner posts. So if you can’t do a dive properly, Top Dolla, just say you can jump off the tope rope instead. The fact nobody there seemed to have that awareness is crazy to me. Didn’t he do this dive successfully recently or am I thinking of someone else?

I'm glad he used to be able to do the move and maybe it was just a freak thing with his leg giving out. Hopefully he takes this as a sign to maybe hang up the "high flying" boots.

In all seriousness Top Dollar doesn't need to be doing this shit.
He should be a powerhouse. If the crowd connect with him, they won't care if he can jump over the ropes or not. Look at Ultimate Warrior, Batista and others.

Honestly the guys all falling over anyways is more embarassing then Top Dolla not being able to do the move. Although Top Dolla and B-Fab didn't help matters acting like he just pulled off some incredible move. Those factors is what makes funny. If Legado and the Viking Raiders had done the right thing and just improvised and not bumped for it then it probably doesn't get this much buzz.

Remember in 97/98 that Farooq used to get out of the ring exactly like this? He didn't run but he had about as much momentum to hold on to the top and middle ropes then sort of flip himself over onto his feet to ringside and walk off

I’ve been wracking my brain trying to remember who it was. He’d roll forward over the rope, put on hand on the apron and vault over. I kept thinking Kane, but he did he backflip over and out.

I love this botch so much. It’s like the gift that keeps on giving. Every time you watch you can focus on something different that is hilarious; Top Dolla’s complete lack of a jump, everyone falling from the flying nothing, the Viking falling after everyone, B-Fab cheering it all on.

Also why did I feel like Top Dolla was nearly 40 for some reason? The guy is only 32!!

Undertaker had the animation for this as his ring out in SYM and I think HCTP too.
