OK, so explain to me this fanbase turning on Seth Rollins, arguably one of the best in-ring workers in the company, almost entirely based on Twitter comments in 2019. I know the Fiend feud is what did him in eventually, but it was like one of the last things to happen. It was happening well before that. This isn't me going "I don't get how it happened", I was here, I saw it happening in real time. But if you're saying "Being a strong worker cancels it out", well, it didn't for him. It wasn’t almost entirely over the Twitter comments, though. His top babyface run was being hindered by dumb Baron Corbin/Lacey Evans related BS, Becky was being dragged down with him, crowds turned on him because the edge people liked about him was going week by week and THEN he made the Twitter comments and dug his own grave. Then the Fiend stuff happened and now Seth can’t ever be a serious babyface again but that’s going too far ahead. EDIT: Oh, and the whole “Ambrose is stealing food from my table” thing which basically just makes him come off as a total brownnoser. Fair enough, although the crowds don't seem to be having any trouble buying him as a babyface nowadays. Unless you literally mean "serious babyface", because he's been pretty out there for the last few years as a character.

I'm kind of trying to think of a botch from a genuinely good worker with this much comedic timing and struggling. First thought was that time Cesaro tried a dive and dropped like a rock but looking it up for a refresher that one's actually kind of horrifying? Like it looks like Sheamus barely kept him from dying. Same energy:

And maybe they’d be able to buy him as a more serious character again but not right now.

I like how everyone fell down even though not a single one of them got hit, lol. B-Fab should've fallen, too. I wish I could find that gif of Sin Cara doing the same thing.

Onto the actual spot itself, one thing I was taught in wrestling school is that if you can’t do something, do something else to make it easier so if you can’t spring over someone after running into the corner, jump twice and leverage from one of the other corner posts.
So if you can’t do a dive properly, Top Dolla, just say you can jump off the tope rope instead. The fact nobody there seemed to have that awareness is crazy to me.

I was expecting a top rope move resembling Becky's based on the title but that was something else entirely.

Like I said last night in the Rampage thread (people were mocking it, I inquired, link was shared lol) the entire sequence of events is so beautifully awkward that it somehow circles around to be awkwardly beautiful. From Cole's "What is he thinking?!" line and Wade's "there's no way!", to the way everyone actually sold it like he succeeded, including B-Fab, who celebrated like it was a late-90's Undertaker-level dive, Top Dolla himself strutting like that was what he meant to do all along, to Cole's incredible blister of a line: "Well, I guess there's a reason he doesn't do that often."
Just... *chef's kiss*

I don't like laughing at botches usually and I really want to cut the guy slack because the vitriol he/Hit Row get is pretty weird for random low-carders but damn if this isn't the funniest botch since Titus Worldslide. It's the commentary that really makes it.

Apparently these type of botches have been pretty common recently...
I see twitter is full of gifs now of AEW wrestlers with the exact same botch as if it somehow makes this one "less than"
Man can we just call these the "What About Wars" or something? Crazy
Here is the tweet I was referring to
and
Here is Top Dolla actually completing that move

He was just paying homage to his childhood hero R-Truth.
Glad he's ok. Yeah Top Dolla is not Top Flight
