Who are some of the "odd men out" when it came to stables? I was just watching some 1999 RAW and the Mean Street Posse being part of the Corporate Ministry was just odd. In retrospect, HHH being part of that group too didnt really fit either.

The Horsemen had a lot of 4th guys who didn't really fit. Sid, Sting, Roma, Jarrett, Malenko.

Is Owen Hart in the Nation too obvious? Him being the only Canadian in a group full of Americans was a little odd, but Owen made it work.

Lex Luger in the NWO Wolfpack It made sense as an overture to Sting, at least.

'The New Breed' (the ECW faction, not the Fear Factory song) itself was a bit of a hodgepodge, but I always thought Kevin Thorn, dark brooding vampire who wrestles in a shirt, really didn't fit the vibe.

Rick Martel with Slick was a weird fit, which is probably why it didn’t last long.

The Giant in the nWo. He seemed to be in the group both times so they could kick him out again.

Remember Manu's short-lived run in Legacy?

I'd argue Dean fit the horsemen quite well. The horsemen's original incarnation (Flair, Arn, Ole and Tully) were defined by being amazing technical wrestlers, and Dean fit that trope to a T.
Yes he didn't have the swagger of a horseman, but neither did Benoit.

This stable's currently still going, but Buddy Matthews in House of Black due to how non-threatening his name is.
He and Malakai were also better rivals than allies.

Remember Manu's short-lived run in Legacy? Manu fit in the sense that he is a second generation wrestler and that was the point of the stable. He was just absolute ass. To be fair, Ted and Cody were ass back then too. Cody eventually found his way to be being a good performer, but Ted was always worthless.

I've said this before, half the nWo felt like dumpy old guys who should be off grilling hamburgers for their families and we're going through the worst midlife crisis (even Hogan felt this way after a while). You could feel all the cool suck out of the Hollywood faction the second the Wolfpac started being a thing.

Hell I'd say Jarrett fit just fine too

Hell I'd say Jarrett fit just fine too He did outside of that Flair and Arn didn't want him and were forced to take them IRL, right? Which is silly to me since I think the main complaint Ric had was thinking of Jarrett as a wannabe Flair. You know, for doing the Fargo strut and Figure Four, two things Flair didn't invent, either. I assume it was more a matter of principle, that Flair and Arn resented the idea of the company telling them who was to be a Horseman, especially after stuff like, when Herd was president, Flair being prevented from adding Stan Lane and Bobby Eaton in one of the many, many dick measuring contests between Flair and WCW over the years.

Paul Roma….was “the job guy” for years and years in the WWF, and then paired alongside a bunch of main event stars who’ve carried the rival promotion for a long time.
To go from curtain jerking to standing alongside elite talent always made him stick out like a turd in a pristine swimming pool
