When I was a kid, we had the Santa gifts at home, then gifts at my Nana's house from her and my uncle/aunt, who lived with her. We also had a tradition for the longest time that we would get to open one gift at my Nana's house on Christmas Eve. I remember the year Batman Returns was the big thing, I got to open the "Bruce Wayne Custom Coupe" on Christmas Eve. A couple of years in a row, I got to open one of my wrestling figures. Once my uncle got sick, that tradition ended, which answers who was the one who started it lol

We alway sopened presents Christmas Morning... the only exception would be if we went to my grandparents house for Christmas eve, we'd get the presents from them on Eve.

From when my sister was old enough to understand what was going on until I hit my late teens (I’m 4 years older so around 18/19 to her 14/15) we were allowed to open one present or our stocking on Christmas Eve then the rest on the day itself
Since then I’ve only ever opened presents on Christmas Eve if they’ve been from a then girlfriend, friends or managers for convenience

I always try and open my presents before Santa realizes he made a mistake and then sends the Krampus after me.
