If he gets a posse as rumored (Bo, Alexa, Eric Young, etc.), then he really only needs to wrestle at the major premium events and maybe an occasional tag match on Smackdown.

If he's still hurt and has been unable to wrestle this long then why hire him back to begin with? Just feels like it would be a waste of time and money. So the original rumor was that he was signing back to man the stable of Vincent and Dutch of ROH fame (Vincent manned a cultish stable at his height in The Righteous), no clue if that would have included Bateman or Vita VonStarr, but Vincent and Dutch were seen in NXT crowds at one point, and the rumor was they'd be the new faction with Bray (People thought that's who were in the Funhouse getups when he redebuted) So far though, that's been a nothingburger, and Uncle Howdy being Bo is also a rumor until proven otherwise, but the entire point of Bray seemed to be he'd be forming a faction with Uncle Howdy (Maybe Bo Dallas?), getting Alexa back, and then Vincent and Dutch (Maybe Dutch would be the trademarked "Uncle Harper"?) Again this is all rumors and not guaranteed to have ever been the actual plan, but if you surround Bray with a faction it would definitely HELP the storylines progress because you give them people to fight and at the very least overcome and give Bray followers to send after people, and if he's injured current and not cleared to work, they really need it, because they're spinning their wheels... but it's not a trigger they're pulling right now, if it even is what they're inevitably planning for. But it seemed pretty weird to have three Funhouse geared people and one Fiend and not be teasing more of a faction since. I’m pretty sure I remember either a rumor or maybe an interview Triple H did where it was implied that the whole Bray return angle is mapped out through Wrestlemania. So the slow nature of it may be deliberate with all of the pieces coming together in March/April. Could be Bray, Alexa, Bo and Vincent and Dutch.

Someone at the MSG House Show just said in the live thread that Bray is wrestling Jinder Mahal at the show
So... guess that solves that, he could still be handling an injury and trying to work out rust but if he's working a match he is in fact cleared to do whatever
So this storyline's moving at a dead snails pace... intentionally... well that's their call I guess lol

Uncle Howdy had the same mannerisms as Dutch so I think it was at least him on Smackdown. Plus having two new guys under the mask would help this a lot better than it being Bo and Eric. Bo being a different character I think works better than as someone controlling Bray. I think Nikki and Eric are more likely for a Sanity reunion than being put with Bray.

I imagine he's moving everything at a dead snail's pace intentionally.

I think a couple weeks were lost also when Barry Windham had a heart attack. Bray wasn't at TV that week.

Hearing Bray got a "This Is Awesome" chant before him and Jinder even locked up He did. It was a standard squash, Bray was moving alright. Not like 2013 or anything but good. Also, say what you will about him right now, but dude is *over.* biggest pop of the night so far.

I just saw the finish to the Jinder match.
Dude does the back bend corner taunt, then just casually walks over to hit the Abigail. I laughed,

Gotta say, Bray Wyatt vs. Jinder Mahal sounds perfect for a house show squash match because the idea of that on TV as a real match is scarier than anything Bray's ever done.

Right now if I had to guess a live crowd is satisfied as long as they get to see Roman's entrance / do the point with him, maybe the Bloodline in general for shows Roman isn't there for, and a table spot cuz there is a we want tables chant at like every show now. Throw in some names like Bray showing up and they're more than good.

Do we actually WANT to see Bray wrestle? I mean, it's been nearly a decade of the character and I've never seen anything in-ring that stands out. He's all character and no physical substance. He'd be amazing as a manager. I said nearly the exact same thing in another thread here a few weeks ago. But, I gave Bray credit for his ONE good match he's had in his career. Against Daniel Bryan at Royal Rumble 2014.
