Shane botched going over when Brock eliminated him too. I imagine that Vince sent him in there when Brock was in there to get him roughed up. lol

I remember they changed so many themes around this time that the crowd mostly had no idea who was entering until the wrestler walked out.

Hell, a lot of them, like Moss and Boogs who were attached to the hip of other talents, were probably using their own music for the first time.

They decided to have a bunch of dudes use their bad theme music for the very first time in a match designed to get pops when the crowd hears the theme music.

And then there's this. Screws up his entrance spot with Orton. Gets into a backstage argument with Randy over it. Refuses to sell for anyone initially. Wanted to face Seth at Wrestlemania. don't forget getting fired for it...

I was in the building, this was my first Royal Rumble. The meal i had at Sugarfire beforehand was more memorable than the Royal Rumble.
Oh yeah, I just remembered the Wrestlemania sign kept catching on fire.

Me, watching live with a friend who doesn't like getting tagged into threads: this is wide open as long as Brock isn't thirty.
Me, twenty seconds later: GODAMNIT

Doudrop (Whom I like) was the number 1 contender to Becky's Title at a Big Five PPV

Lmao I just remembered how Angelo Dawkins entered the Rumble to the Profits' music but the TitanTron just said "Montez Ford." That's one hell of a way to be told you're the Jannetty

I'm watching the womens one now. LMAO at Melina getting tossed super fast and then her and Sasha have a split battle for no reason. My favorite memory of this Rumble involves this spot, they're having their split battle and Melina is on the outside just bouncing up and down doing the splits being all "yeah! yeah! look at this! yeah!" and I f***ing died laughing watching it. Melina looked like such a goober.

The women's Rumble was worth it for the RTC Ivory bit alone. Her post-match promo is also excellent and unintentionally prophetic in talking about how "substantial female" Rhea Ripley needed to make a change:

That's one hell of a way to be told you're the Jannetty And then proceeds to get eliminated before said tag team partner. Despite the fact that his partner had entered the match before him. Another hell of a way to hit you across the face that you are the Jannetty.

What the hell was that about? It feels like a billion years ago and awful! They did a Bobby Roode/AJ Styles “stop the match to have a big staredown” moment! What? That's hilarious. I know they crossed paths in TNA, but they were never especially synonymous with one another. Hell, neither would be in either's Top 5 TNA opponents. Awww, who could forget the legendary faction, Fortune?
