Sheamus and Ridge defeated Imperium. Fun opener. Ridge is getting better and Imperium is fun on the house show circuit.
Hit Row defeated Legado in a six person mixed tag. There was one section there that went nuts for Hit Row. Top Dolla teased the dive at one point which had folks going “don’t do it!” It was fun. Typical house show stuff. I think Hit Row still doesn’t have the entire audience yet though.
Bray Wyatt defeated Jinder Mahal in a pretty short match. Bray is OVER. He arguably had the top pop of the night. Bray was moving decently but had a knee pad/brace on. It wasn’t as bad as the brace from the other week.
Gunther retained the Intercontinental Title in a five way ladder match against Kofi Kingston, Shinsuke Nakamura, Santos Escobar and Madcap Moss. This was MOTN. Everybody worked hard. Madcap is more explosive in person and I get why they still care about him. Santos and Kofi had a rough landing on a ladder bump and Santos got helped to the back. Hoping he’s ok.
Karrion Kross defeated Drew Gulak in a surprisingly good 15 minute technical match that came after intermission. Fans were chanting boring initially but by the end they had them really into it. Gulak rocks. Kross is going to get there. After the match, Kross jumped the rail and gave his grandmother a hug and kiss. It was sweet.
Liv Morgan defeated Shayna Baszler in a New York Street Fight. Fans. love. Liv. She hugged a little girl and gave her a shirt and she lost her mind. It rocked. The match was solid. The table didn’t break on the finish, but nobody seemed to care.
Solo Sikoa and Braun Strowman went to a no contest when The Uso’s got involved. KO made the save, leading to KO and Braun beating Jimmy and Jey in a pretty standard house show tag. KO sent the fans home happy and thanked them for coming.
Overall, fun show. House shows are still entertaining and that ladder match ruled.

Yeah, I enjoyed the houseshow I went to last month. Glad Bray's still getting good responses despite everything.

I was there. Thought it all was kinda dull. The ladder much wasn’t that fun, and we really got the short end of the stick when it came to star power.

The Columbus live event didn’t fare that much better with Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch being promoted to be there only to not show up, forcing Johnny Gargano to pull double-duty.

Really hate to hear Santos might have gotten hurt, feels like HHH has completely dropped the ball on LDF already and if he gets hurt that's gonna kill them for a long time. Karrion Kross vs Drew Gulak feels like it was specifically made because of the Rudy Gobert Weather Machine pandemic thread, and the fact Karrion Kross ended it all by hugging his grandma is the cherry on top. Karrion Kross' number one fan being his grandma is the wholesome story we need to end the year.

Big, evil Kross showing love to his Grandmother is the kind of wholesome thing you need this holiday season.
Getting a ladder match sounds cool. Never been to a house show that had one.
Glad you enjoyed yourself. Sounds like it was a pretty solid show. I've got tickets to a show mid next year for the first time since 2019. Can't wait.

Yeah, it's not shocking that some wrestlers had travel issues, looking at the state of air travel this holiday weekend. And just think, this would have been a three-hour Raw if they hadn't taken the week off.

Apparently Rollins and Becky weren’t able to make the Ohio house show due to bus trouble.

I was there last night, too, and it was a very entertaining show. It was the first WWE live event I had gone to since the 2017 holiday show (I will not go to Raw or Smackdown tapings anymore). Crowd was into everything, so it felt like an AEW crowd, except for the Gulak-Kross match, which was expected to be a squash. Zelina got a nice hometown pop and was able to carry B-Fab when they were in the ring together, and Liv was over as hell. And everything Ucey was cheered.

They were already short-handed as it was with Dakota Kai implying in her most recent Twitch stream that she was off this week; IYO Sky is over in Japan for the holidays(same with Asuka); Finn Balor and his wife are over in Ireland for the holidays; Mia Yim mentioned in a Twitch stream that she’s not working any of the live events until Wednesday; Ricochet was injured hence Moss replacing him in the ladder match(my guess is the original plan was Moss/Emma bs Kross/Scarlet as Emma was backstage at MSG, but didn’t work yesterday)

On one hand, I appreciate trying to give paying fans a good show with a ladder match. But on the other hand, that's a dangerous match to do off of TV and I'm not sure it's the best idea.

Or just have the ladder match be a four way? Seems odd to fly someone in for a house show and then not have them work at all.

Because they probably didn't know for sure how the card would shake out until they saw who actually made it to the arena. Madcap/Emma are real life partners so I don't think it was that big a deal for her.

It wasn't a typical ladder match per say. Not a lot of spots. To me the whole match was one guy would climb the ladder while one other person stopped them. Rinse and repeat. No big dangerous spots. Any offense put on you knocked you out the action for 5 minutes.
