All it takes is a couple people tuning out of a show to swing numbers dramatically for Neilsen charts, but even if we took these as real genuine numbers, the idea that 4,000 people tuned out for the first 15 minutes of Elite vs. Death Triangle and then in the final two minutes of the match some huge plunge happened from people bailing as hard as they could on the match, is a hilarious read of the chart. "They lose most viewers with The Elite and the women matches" is such 'technically true' dishonesty it's kinda staggering, but. I dunno, it sucks the women can't get ratings wins that often, but the problem there is with the women or with the audience who tune out when a woman comes on, not with The Elite and it's a weird pivot to try and make this about them.

I dunno, it sucks the women can't get ratings wins that often, but the problem there is with the women or with the audience who tune out when a woman comes on, not with The Elite and it's a weird pivot to try and make this about them. There is a certain wrestling personality (he who shall not be named) who literally has an almost weekly segment where the ratings are taken out of context for the sole purpose of burying The Elite. The narrative with this breakdown is 70k turned off the show because of them. A few weeks ago it was 130k turned off because of them. Neither are true or based in reality. Reality is that Q1 to Q2 for many programs have a significant drop due to overrun. Dynamite usually loses 10-20k per segment. In this weeks The Elite only dropped 4k which is well above trend. Their segments lately have been well above and retained more viewers than normal. Sadly when you have influential people making it their mission to destroy someone’s career there are a lot of people who will believe them. CM Punk just gave them a cause to latch onto despite it being a flimsy thing to stand on.
