Here are my Smackdown Thoughts:



Cool opening segment with Bray Wyatt, LA Knight, & Uncle Howdy. I agree with Knight. None of this makes sense. Wyatt VS Knight at the Royal Rumble should be awesome.
Sami Zayn & Paul Heyman were hilarious. Zayn wrestled in the opening match of the 1st Smackdown of 2022 in a loss to
Rick Boogs & tonight he will be in the final main event of Smackdown in 2022.
Cool mention of Don West. RIP Don West.
Sheamus VS Solo Sikoa was another banger of a match. Yes, Drew McIntyre is back from injury.
Raquel Rodriguez VS Ronda Rousey was excellent. I'm glad that it got a lot of time. I have been very critical of Rousey since she came back, but I have to admit she was great tonight. Hopefully, this is change for her & she will be better in 2023.
Damn it. Charlotte Flair is back. Andrade should have knocked her up so she couldn't come back.
They really did Charlotte Flair VS Ronda Rousey for the Smackdown Women's Title. Wow, I was not expecting that especially the result. Now, I have to do more records.
The stuff with Dominik Mysterio getting arrested was great.
I like that they are making fun of Top Dolla's botching 2 weeks ago. I guess Hit Row is turning heel.
Cool. It's official, it will be a Pitch Black Match sponsored by Mountain Dew between Bray Wyatt & LA Knight. Interesting. Cool segment with Imperium & Braun Strowman & Ricochet. I am now looking forward to Strowman VS GUNTHER.
Awesome. They are doing Royal Rumble Qualifying Matches. I love it. Next week's Smackdown looks like a great way to start 2023.
I had a horrible day with the sudden passing of my dog Toby, but it's ending amazing seeing John Cena, which is kind of bittersweet because Toby used to bark when he heard Cena's theme. I got goosebumps.
John Cena & Kevin Owens VS Roman Reigns & Sami Zayn was an awesome match to end 2022. It was Reigns' 1st loss since he lost to Seth Rollins by DQ at the Royal Rumble.

I also watched Level Up tonight. Thea Hail VS Amari Miller was good. Bronco Nima & Lucien Price VS Oba Femi & Bryson Montana was great. Oro Mensah VS Javier Bernal was a great final match of 2022.

- give the cameraman who filmed the Ronda/Raquel hoisted submission-into-apron-slam a raise. Incredible camerawork, he went with it in a way that made it look like a video game vignette
