Finished watching this last night, Alan's role is entirely a lip-synch performance but he makes it work really well with his expressive range. Brian/Brandon was some character, but I do feel bad he left such a lasting and positive impression on his class mates yet he believes them all to be 'means to an end' and 'ciphers'. It also does make you think and counter-think certain moments, even as the narrative spun keeps contradicting and changing the story deliberately. {Spoiler}The most sus one I think is the mind control angle. It got me thinking the principles were all in on it from the beginning and allowed Brandon in.
I didn't know whether to congratulate myself for guessing how the school play turned out when it was replayed to the adult students, or wincing when I got to that specific moment
