Many things happened this place in AEW. Many great things and also the opposite as we all know. What will be the most remembered Moment of this Year? I'm not speaking about the behind the scene Drama itself, of course that's high-up there when we think about 2022 in the future. I would say the MJF/Punk Stuff and the MJF Pipebomb will be remembered for long. Also the Media Scrum of course.

The Media Scrum was absolutely the most talked about and stuck with thing this entire year, I think in all of wrestling
Vince stepping down was more important, but Scrumgate just kept going, for months after, information wise.

Mox talking about matches he wanted to see after Forbidden Door and willing them into existence.
Now we know he has that power to make dream matches come true the scrum after Forbidden Door 2 will be even more important than muffingate.

On-screen probably MJF's "shoot" promo after Double or Nothing is probably the answer.

Vince stepping down is more important but Muffingate, 100%.

Late entry but Rampage pulling a really good rating with a DOUBLE J main event needs to be in the running.

Vince stepping down is more important but Muffingate, 100%. But it's jot more memorable. Everyone expected Vince to be a big creep criminal. CM Punk live trying a real time coup was very unexpected. But for me short of brawl out , SCIZOR ME DADDY AÀAAAAAASSS

For me specifically:
Tony Khan at the Scrum 1. Looking like he was having PTSD in real time and 2. scanning the reporters later like a goddam coked out predator
Both those live in my head rent free.
A distant 3rd would be CM Punk talking with his mouth full of f***ing muffins. Like seriously, are you 3 years old? Gross.
So in short, Muffingate.

It is muffins by a distance. Vince stepping down is historically more important - but has been on the cards for years.
Punk just imploding inexplicably in front of our eyes is one of the most sad, disappointing and hilarious things I have seen in wrestling. His run in AEW was excellent, but now all it will be remembered for is this. So much good will scoffed away in a frenzy of baked good crumbs.
I hope this isn’t the end for Punk in AEW, as that will leave the biggest what if hanging over the company - but frankly why would they want him back after that.

Stuff like the Muffins, MJF drama, Cody leaving, imo this all started when TK clapped Swole on twitter, that sht felt like it cursed the company

On-screen probably MJF's "shoot" promo after Double or Nothing is probably the answer. Wasn't that something that seemed like a big deal at the time, but was ultimately inconsequential? If it'd have never happened, nothing would really be any different. But either way, nothing is beating the Punk meltdown. People will be talking about that for decades.

I don't see any appeal in bringing him back. TK should've fast tracked his release as soon as Punk started openly big-leaguing Tony right to his face.

1A. Media Scrum 1B. The subsequent thread here
2. Danhausen signing with the company.
3. Being there in person the night Kenny By God Omega made his return.
4. The Ospreay/Cassidy match at Forbidden Door
…that’s it. That’s the list for me.

But they forget how beloved CM Punk was right before it. Dude plummeted from being the most loved act in the company.
