HHH trying to compare himself to Rock again o no. Remember that time HHH said he and Rock were competitive with each other because they both grew beards?

Imagine telling that to someone 20 years ago.

Hunter is damned proud of the business is my takeaway. And quite honestly, woe to anyone who tries to take it from him. Anyone. Yeah, the man is super protective of the business like if Vince really was trying to take it away from him it's almost in an over my dead body

Absolutely. As long as he is at the top creatively and managing, I’ll stay. The day he’s gone, I am too. I’m that loyal because of what he’s done since July and what he did in NXT.

Not a fan of a lot of his re-hires, or how he books certain things (Like the entire tag divisions) but... yeah, he's just put WWE in a much better position. Vince needs to either sell it or get the hell outta here.

Yeah, the man is super protective of the business like if Vince really was trying to take it away from him it's almost in an over my dead body Vince will have to kill Hunter professionally to win. And he’ll kill the creation if he does because only fans of Vince will stay. Don’t want to turn this into another dogpile on Vince, but tonight was proof, in many ways, that what Hunter is capable of and it works. Even what you didn’t particularly love was still worth what you put in and you respect the effort. Be damned to see that lost.

HHH isn't petty enough to tank the business but he's smart enough to know if he left he could take a lot of people with him He has his own soldiers now and has had that for a long time. The business is in great hands with him in charge and here is hoping he doesn't lose the chance before he finally gets his vision across

I’m kind of curious why they have Becky still slumming it with Damage CTRL. She should be doing something more high profile IMO.
Also kind of curious that there were no Charlotte sightings, maybe Nia punched her out backstage. lol

Vince has no compunction about going scorched earth to win. And just to address another comment on Hunter’s rehires, in regards to Nia at least, I think it was giving her a rope to hang herself. I personally agree it’s a mistake and clearly there are people *cough*Becky*cough* who won’t work with her. Honestly, I think the experiment won’t last and hopefully Nia will be wished well soon. Hunter is loyal, but not stupid.

Only real knock I have on HHH is that I think he needs to treat Miz and Elias better. They are too over with the audience to be dismissed as nothing.

His active disdain of Miz only makes sense only if you ignore the last decade of the Miz's career, which is seriously peak "IWC hate Hunter" type of stuff. I understand having to put Elias/Ezekiel under a trial "are you not just the log that floats" period but Miz has been the king alchemist of making gold out of whatever he's been handed for the past decade. Hunter is by far a better booker than Vince but he's still prone to personal bullshit

I don't think he really hates Miz as Miz isn't really doing anything diff then he did under Vince
Miz is always active as he has been
Elias tho, yeah that one he has never really seen anything in him dating back to his NXT days. Wouldn't be surprised to see Bugenhagen sit on the sideline longer after his injury recovers

He's not and never really been the main event superstar that's going to carry a division. But he's always doing SOMETHING and it's usualy something semi-important. He's who they lean on for corporate sponsorship stuff, as well as most of the celebrity ring appearances... and in ring is the mid-upper mid card gatekeeper. Which is not a terrible place for him to be.

He can basically work with anyone as seen how him and Ciampa was gelling really well before he left with an injury He's only 42 but yeah he doesn't need a major gimmick change or overhaul. Hell, if I am HHH I am trying to convince in the next year or two to do some more backstage stuff to get him thinking about life outside the ring

Can’t wait for Meltzer or whoever to explain what the hell Cole was talking about when Corey said that HBK was a big fan of Zoey Starks and Cole was like “at least he’s a big fan of someone here today”
HBK must have been pissed at someone in catering. lol

Hell, if I am HHH I am trying to convince in the next year or two to do some more backstage stuff to get him thinking about life outside the ring He should still be, you know, winning some matches every now and then. You always want to be careful with guys who you want to give rub to younger guys, you need to ensure they still have rub to give. Otherwise they become like Mick Foley, who I love, but at a certain point, what good was beating him when he basically never won.
