I saw frog legs at the seafood section of the supermarket recently. The price was too high so I didnt pick them up, but has anyone had them, and what do they taste like?

It tasted like fish to me. Biting into them and hitting the little leg bones was a bit off-putting.

Frog legs can be really good but they are a highly temperamental protein. They fall into a weird category where if you treat them like chicken they are way overcooked but if you treat them like fish they are a bit watery and rubbery.
If you are an adventurous cook I'd highly recommend them. If you are the type of cook where a hamburger is a struggle, run away. Run far away.
The taste is basically like chicken cooked in the same fryer as fish, but not in an off putting way. It's a bit less fishy than that.

Sounds a bit like gator, where that kind of felt like if chicken and shrimp had a baby, flavor-wise.

They taste like fishy chicken wings. Thank you for telling me this because no I will never make the mistake of eating frog legs. I cannot stand the texture of fish.

I saw frog legs at the seafood section of the supermarket recently. The price was too high so I didnt pick them up, but has anyone had them, and what do they taste like? They taste great, think of them tasting like a leaner chicken wing. You won't notice the difference

I have had them multiple times. There’s a cajun buffet in town ran by people who got displaced in Katrina, and one of the items is fried frogs legs.
I’m not even remotely kidding, it tasted like chicken. Like actually tasted like chicken.

I like them. Will echo the fishy chicken response. Had frog bodies once and they were very tasty

Taste a bit like chicken,But been a long time since I had them.
But really if I want something that taste like chicken will just have chicken.
Now I'm wondering if I can find anyplace in town selling squid or fried squid.
