NJPW New Beginning/Battle In The Valley

Thought this was cool - New Japan took a page out of NOAH's book and did a formal unit alignment/show correlation chart to give a better sense of alliances and what's to come on the bigger New Beginning events over the next week.



This is a bit different than NOAH's as some people (Fale, Chase, Gedo, Rocky, Eagles and various New Japan Dads) that we know are still contracted with the company are not included in pictures (but some are listed in text form). Still, I do like seeing stuff like this made to help new viewers. Unfortunately my Japanese listening comprehension is so-so, my speaking abilities poor and my reading comprehension near non-existent, so I'm likely missing some info on things.

One note from my perspective is that it looks like they are finally saying that Hontai includes CHAOS as a sub-group similar to GoD, rather than calling them a tenuous alliance as originally pitched. This could also include Narita, Suzuki and Despy's new alliance as well, though again I'm not great with text.

For CHAOS it says they are an alliance so I wouldn’t necessarily put them as part of the same group. The Narita, Suzuki, Despy group is the same but honestly I think they are still playing that story out so for now they’re listed that way.

Sure! Hontai is listed as Tana, Makabe, Umino, Taguchi, Wato, Honma, Tenzan, Kojima, Nagata, KUSHIDA, Tiger Mask, Finlay, Yuto Nakashima, Ryohei Oiwa. Narita is included but they link him in "alliance" with Suzuki and Despy's group by himself, and not Hontai as a whole. Fujita is noted as going from Hontai to joining TMDK (I haven't watched all their segments so I'm not totally sure if that's an official thing).

Edit: meant Fujita going from Hontai, not CHAOS, I typed CHAOS a bunch when I meant Hontai lol

Awesome, thank you. I saw nine names under Hontai and started thinking some guys had to be omitted, but between Finlay/Oskar/Oleg/LA Dojo I wasn’t sure who they decided to count. Took me a minute to realize the other CHAOS name was Lio too, and that led me to Ace/Bey being under Bullet Club (meaning Juice is not listed).

As you noted, other promotions in Japan do these type of charts frequently to help fans keep track of units, but honestly, I think in this case NJPW just has a couple units with so many members that doing a picture for every single one would be a mess so they just opted for text for some members lol
