I wonder how they're going to handle the match. Shingo's a tough guy, but he's older, smaller, and facing someone who'd absolutely maul him in amateur wrestling, so it's going to be interesting to see how they plot the match, given I don't think they want O-Khan to win here. I suppose that's where creativity'll come into play with the psychology of the match.

This could be good or really bad. Wrestling and MMA are oil and water.

On the other hand, Shingo's probably the most versatile top guy nowadays, so I have no doubt there's a good match to be had here.

I’ve been racking my brain to figure out who is getting the Okada title shot in San Jose.
An interesting choice would be done be from ROH or AEW. Teo possible choices who wouldn’t be hurt by losing to Okada at all: Hangman Adam Page and Adam Cole.

Now I'm thinking Lance Archer because he promised he would challenge after the Dome.

Teo possible choices who wouldn’t be hurt by losing to Okada at all: Hangman Adam Page and Adam Cole. Lance Archer as well. Since the show is sold out, they don't need a bigger name like the Adams and Archer has enough credibility to be a challenger and you get a nice big man/small man for Okada (no one's thinking Shingo might be winning, sniff), which is a slight deviation on his formula that he also does really well.

I think if Lio hadn't gotten injured, he would be challenging Hiromu.

Archer would be a great choice. Big man who can really work, who has ample experience working a style Okada's comfortable with.
I do think Okada's significantly more comfortable deviating from his formula if he needs to these days than he was a few years ago, but still, Archer would be an option that'd set him up for success.

Shingo vs Great O-Khan in an MMA fight sounds like a vision from huffing paint fumes but neither of them aren't trained so it could be a very pleasing paint fumes experience

Last time they did a mixed martial arts bout was Nakamura vs Daniel Gracie in 2014.
It wasn't any good.

Last time they did a mixed martial arts bout was Nakamura vs Daniel Gracie in 2014. It wasn't any good. They first brought those two Gracies into NJPW to feud with Sakuraba, if I'm not mistaking. Should have worked except the Gracies just weren't any good at Pro Wrestling. Which is amazing when you really think about it. Why were they so bad when almost every catch wrestling expert are great at it. Both styles are very similar so, why the difference in quality?
