I loved 1991. That's when grunge hit the mainstream with a vengeance when Nirvana's Nevermind came out. Granted, a lot of the great grunge bands formed in the 80's (hell, Soundgarden first came about in 1984!), but it was strictly a Seattle/PNW thing until the early 90's.
1992-1993 was such a great time for hip-hop. Dr Dre's The Chronic, Wu-Tang Clan's 36 Chambers, Snoop's Doggystyle, etc.
Not sure what I'd call the "worst" year, really. Maybe 1990? It was the dying gasp of the 80's more than anything.

I say this unjokingly: 90's music ended on Sept 11, 2001.
The reason I bring that up is because I felt that 2000 had some dreadful 90's music but 2001 was picking up steam and getting a lot better before, well, you know.

The worst years are those that produced MMM bop , Mambo Number 5 , the macarena and Chers do you believe.
The best being the years that did not produce the above.

Have you ever heard the acoustic version of MMMBop. Makes you see the song in a different light.

There's no bad year of 90s music and you can't get me to say there is.
