A lot of Farrelly Brothers movies, but I like to point to Dumb and Dumber.
There's a track on there called "Take" by The Lupins. Practically no information on the band exists on the internet, and the song can only be found on the Dumb and Dumber soundtrack, since apparently the album it's off of, Queenie 8 is impossible to find (spent almost 20 years looking for it).
There's a lot of other tracks on there that are very good too, in fact a lot of late 90's movies would use just a small segment of a song and then move onward.

That shitty Dan Ackroyd directed movie “Nothing But Trouble”
Has a impromptu musical performance by Digital Underground featuring Tupac Shakur

The Muppet Treasure Island.
The opening song "Shiver My Timbers" had no business slapping so hard. Tim Curry's performance in "Professional Pirate" would have made me join Long John Silver's crew in a heartbeat.

One of the few things I remember about "We Are Marshall" was saying to myself, "Wow, this movie's got some good songs going for it."
For a pretty cut-and-paste inspirational sports movie, you could do a lot worse than Creedence, Crosby Stills & Nash, and Black Sabbath just to name a few.

Embarrassing admission.
Space Jam and Batman Forever made me think all movie soundtracks were these amazing compilations of songs from famous artists of all genres that were vaguely themed to the movie or directly about the movie.
So, me being a dumb kid. Excitedly bought the soundtrack for Lost World and I listened to that shit and it was just the score. I was so mad. I wanted a rap song about a T-Rex!
My favorite top to bottom movie soundtrack is Beavis and Butthead Do America. What a lineup of different kickass songs

Any time someone mentions that movie, the U2 song Hold Me Thrill Me Kiss Me Kill Me starts playing in my head. Like right now. And definitely Beavis & Butthead. I remember when that Red Hot Chili Peppers song hit. Although you could argue B&B of any movie should have a good soundtrack, considering the show was 50% watching music videos.

Spawn.
Why would you ever expect such a bog average and forgettable superhero flick to have such an experimental soundtrack?

Little Nicky was a fun comedy but hot damn that soundtrack kicks all kinds of ass.
