Still can’t vote against the Chiefs in the playoffs. They’re the one team I know the 49ers cannot beat.

Vikings vs Bills in the Superbowl and it somehow ends in a tie because of course that's what would happen between these two.
Ok now that my heart's pick is out of the way: My brain says 49ers vs Bengals. Bengals are hitting their stride while the Chiefs are struggling. I love the Bills but my gut says Bengals can take them. 49ers are written like a Hollywood movie so I'm going for the Hollywood ending, once again proving that truth is stranger than fiction.
After all, Purdy is 5-0 so the math says the dude will never lose an NFL game ever.

I think this the Jets year!
All kidding aside, I have no idea. The Chefs never seem to be out of contention. I figure them to be the favorites all the way. Let’s consider the options:
Bills: While it would be storybook, they seem to be more vulnerable than I’d care for.
Bengals: I still believe they win DESPITE their O-line, which will be a problem.
Jaguars: Let’s be serious for a minute. They’re not a serious contender.
Ravens: They are still not a complete team. You need that to make a run.
Chargers: Maybe in a year or two.
Dolphins: Really?
Eagles: I feel like they play to their competition’s level, which is a recipe to get upset.
49ers: By this point people have enough game tape on Purdy to properly plan against him.
Vikings: If they only had a defense……
Bucs: They barely held off the rest of the NFC South. They are missing too much to contend. Brady doesn’t fix everything.
Cowboys: They have the rep of wilting this time of year for a reason.
Giants: Not enough, particularly in the passing game.
Seattle: Maybe they can spend well and use those draft picks to be more of a threat next year.

My Giants are basically "Just happy to be here." The Vikings are about as much a paper tiger as they are, but I'd be extremely surprised if they make it past the Wild Card round, much less the division round.

After all, Purdy is 5-0 so the math says the dude will never lose an NFL game ever. I don't know if the Chiefs struggled down the stretch or honestly just kinda turned it off and relaxed a bit. They had a brutal opening of the season something like their first 10 games were against previous years playoff teams. AFC Playoff Teams’ Records against other playoff qualifiers in 2022 1.#Chiefs 6-2 2.#Bills 3-2 3.#Bengals 4-2 4.#Jaguars 3-3 5.#Chargers 1-5 6.#Ravens 1-5 7.#Dolphins 2-5 All of the teams have flaws that just is what it is, Cincy's biggest issue is they'll have to go to Buffalo.

My surely wrong predictions:
49ers over Seahawks Jaguars over Chargers (Unfortunately, for me) Bills over Dolphins Vikings over Giants Bengals over Ravens Buccaneers over Cowboys
Eagles over Buccaneers 49ers over Vikings Chiefs over Jaguars Bills over Bengals
49ers over Eagles Bills over Chiefs
Super Bowl: Bills/49ers

Whoever survives the AFC minefield will win in a cakewalk over whoever bungles their way out from the NFC bracket.

Whoever survives the AFC minefield will win in a cakewalk over whoever bungles their way out from the NFC bracket. Watch the NFC win the Superbowl this year. If a good defensive team that can put pressure on the quarterback comes out of the NFC, they can win. Have we learned nothing?

I’m thinking the Bills finally take it this year. I guess I'll pick Bills/49ers in the Superb Owl.

Whoever survives the AFC minefield will win in a cakewalk over whoever bungles their way out from the NFC bracket. I don't think it'll be that easy. For one, as you mentioned, the AFC will be a gauntlet and it could wear down whoever emerges from that conference. And in the NFC, you have teams like San Francisco on a 10-game winning streak, or Philadelphia and Dallas who can get hot at the right moment. Right now, yes, I'd pick the Super Bowl champion to emerge from the AFC. But we've only had six laugher Super Bowl games in the last 25 years, so the odds are in the favor of it being a tight game regardless of who is playing. EDIT - The Dolphins are preparing to start rookie Skylar Thompson at quarterback in Sunday's playoff game at Buffalo. profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/01/11/tua-tagovailoa-ruled-out-dolphins-preparing-to-start-skylar-thompson/With that goes not only any chance of Miami winning, but also any chance of the Dolphins-Bills game being even remotely close after the first quarter.

Tua has officially been ruled out for the dolphins this weekend which isn't a shock if we are honest given the issues he’s had this season.
Lamar Jackson was not at practice today for the ravens and Tyler Huntley was there but wasn’t throwing due to tendinitis in his shoulder, as someone who has had tendinitis in his shoulder, that is not fun.

Lamar isn’t going to play again until he gets a new contract or is franchised. Can’t blame him really, if he goes out there and gets f***ed up he’s not going to get anything. Ravens aren’t going anywhere in the playoffs without him either.

Seven playoff teams in each conference, combined with the added grind of a 17-game regular season, is really making for some lousy playoff football. We've had 14 playoff teams for two years now, and not once has the 7-seed in either conference made a game of it in their respective Wild Card matchup.
2020 (2) Buffalo beats (7) Indianapolis, 27-24, in a game that wasn't as close as the final score would indicate.
(2) New Orleans beats (7) Chicago, 21-9, with Chicago's lone touchdown coming on the last play of the game.
2021 (2) Kansas City throttles (7) Pittsburgh, 42-21
(2) Tampa Bay dominates (7) Philadelphia, 31-15, after jumping out to a 31-0 lead.
And this year we're looking at two more impending routs, with Buffalo facing the Skylar Thompson-led Dolphins in the AFC, and the red-hot 49ers ready to dismantle a Seahawks team that needed overtime to beat Baker Mayfield and a woeful Rams team at home.
The NFL will never do away with it, because it makes them too much money in TV revenue and ticket sales, but these extra Wild Card games are just putting a bad product out there on national television.

Ravens aren’t going anywhere in the playoffs without him either. Well it’ll be franchised then as I take it Lamar is still wanting that fully guaranteed contract ? He’s not getting fully guaranteed, and neither should the piece of shit in Cleveland have gotten it but he did.

No doubt but Cleveland f***ed it up for everyone by giving the Massage Bandit fully guaranteed money because QB's that are better than him will (rightfully) try to get it now.

I'll make my official predictions soon, but in the meantime, I can't help but think Sunday is shaping up to be quite possibly one of the worst days of playoff football in recent memory.
The 1 p.m. game is the Dolphins (with a third-string, rookie quarterback) heading into heavily-favored Buffalo.
The 4 p.m. game could be a good one between the Giants and Vikings.
But then we end it with another potential rout, with either Tyler Huntley or Anthony Brown under center going into Cincinnati.
Looking at the entire weekend, at least for Sunday, it feels like we're facing down a repeat of the 2016-17 Wild Card weekend, when no game was within 13 points.

Chagrers/Jags could be either a great shootout, or an entertaining trainwreck.
Giants/Vikings should be great.
Th other 4 games look like complete asscheeks.

You're gonna lose your shit when the NFL does expansion and we eventually end up with a 20 week, 18 game schedule with 2 byes....40 teams...and 20 of those teams making the playoffs.
