They were made to be used in commercials. Not jingles, but music that artists released in albums and such. Like this.
I'm not complaining about it or anything, it's an observation. However I do think there times where musicians do it on purpose. What are other examples?

There is a song called “Shopping” on Barenaked Ladies’ album Everything For Everyone. It is 100% a song that Robin Sparkles should have sung on How I Met Your Mother….except the album came out two years before the show started.
The song is absolute bubblegum pop garbage and I love it so much that I listen to it two or three times whenever I put that album on.

Pretty much every single Van Hagar song.
It’s true.

Literally everything by Imagine Dragons Individually, "Made You Look" by Meghan Trainor definitely gives me Old Navy commercial vibes.

Some I can think of:
She’s Got The Look - Eurythmics - sounds like it was made for like of those clothing stores you see at the mall that look high class, but the clothing are affordable.
Home Entertainment System - Lazaro’s Dog - sounds like an ad for .. well look at the sound title ..
I just called to say I love you - Stevie Wonder - sounds like an ad for a telecommunications corporation.

"The Real Thing" by Faith No More would have been perfect for Coke.

American Authors - "Best Day Of My Life"
It sounds like it was written for like an orange juice or otherwise "healthy eating" style of commercial. And I think it wound up being used for exactly that.

Besides the Big Bang Theory intro, can't think of one that actually did. If I Had a Million Dollars probably did for some lottery, but sides One Week, can't think of anything that may have.

"It's All Been Done" was the theme song for the Baby Blues animated series.

Are You Ready by AC/DC, and I thought that BEFORE it was the Smackdown theme song.

I can't quite remember what for, or if it was an Australian ad or a British as. Might have been for Telecom (now Telstra) the then Government run phone network. It was so long ago though. Old Australian commercials are not easy to find as ones from the U.S or the U.K. Guess Australians threw out their old recorded tapes before video uploads became wide spread. Edit: oh shit I found it... Man that takes me back

Wandering Star by Noel Gallagher. Dude saw that some commercial was using a cover of "Half The World Away" for a christmas ad and he went "lets make us a christmas song for commercials!" And used Dreamer by Ozzy as the base song.

It Don't Get Better Than This by Royal Deluxe, and Intuition by Jewel.
And sure enough, they both ended up there.
