There's something about trailers for books that I find amazing. I mean, the James Patterson stuff is well known for the dude willing to sit at a table with a silly hat or full blown nonsense costume just to assure you his new novel is a trip and a half.
But I've been recently watching other trailers desperately trying to tell me how the book I could read is super cool, or edgy, or whatever emotion it relies upon to get another sale.
I'd like to present one as follows:
A 2011 novel written by three different people, Patrick Melton, Marcus Dunstan, and Stephen Romano. It was hyped as "The debut novel from the writers of the multi-million-dollar-grossing Saw movie franchise," since Melton and Dunstan were involved with Saw 4 through 6, and Saw 3D. Other author Stephen Romano is a journeyman writer who has done a metric ton of Lifetime movies among horror films and novels.
The story follows a detective who can eat ghosts. Yes. He can eat ghosts. And as he consumes the ghosts, he can see on the other side. However, ghosts are apparently very bad for you because it actively takes time away from his own life to do this but...I guess he does anyway cause he got murdered parents to avenge or something. Then he ends up on a train. A bullet train without Brad Pitt on it. That's about all I've gleaned from looking up the book, which...I might buy. I don't know. Maybe you will too after witnessing...
The book trailer to BLACK LIGHT.
Anyway, please share if you have a wacky non-movie related trailer you like because I made a thread about an unusual topic and it's always a bummer to watch these things sink to the bottom of the forums' existence.
If not, no worries. Because I'm going to go debate spending $14 for the e-book of this nonsense or get up the nerve to look my local librarian in the eyes and ask if they could get a transfer.
