As much as a mark out moment it would be to see him at the Rumble or something like that, it would mean he would take up precious Mania main event time and then lose to Roman continuing his title reign Only if there's a compromise where the match happens one night, then Roman loses to someone actually full time.

When they did it with Cena, it felt like a torch passing moment. It'd feel unnecessary for him to show up now. I think there's far more benefit and far more intrigue in a story where Cody beats him and becomes the company's top babyface.
WrestleMania's going to sell well either way. Cody winning cements their next top guy for five years. Rock goes home on Monday. I know what I'd choose.

I'm all for it as long as it's not for the title(s). Roman would have to lose the belts first.

I'd be happy to never see him ever again on WWE programming.

At WM 30 I knew Hogan, the Rock and Austin was not going to wrestle but being in attendance for their entrances for their joint promo was the highlight of the show for me, so for those in the crowd this year I hope he shows up even if I personally do not look forward to any match he might have.

Rock was my favorite during his peak (98-00), and the current form of Reigns is one of the few WWE characters a casual like me actually likes at the moment. So, yes.

100% Gotta see that electricity in person one last time. I’ll complain later after my Mania fan moment. How about Rock vs. Austin 20 years later? Austin is getting into shape for something here. It can be a double retirement match.

I want to see Roman v Rock at Mania. I also want to see Roman v Cody at Mania. So I'm kind of screwed because obviously both can't happen.
In a way it's good though because as much as I'd love it if Rock shows up next week if he doesn't I'm more than fine with Roman/Cody and at least Roman can lose that one. If Roman/Rock happens it pretty much guarantees Roman isn't dropping the title. If I'm put in an alternate reality and in complete control of booking and everyone is available I'd definitely do Rock/Roman though. It's too huge and has too much story material not to do if you possibly can. Then Roman drops the title to Cody at Summerslam. I think it was August he won so it would make it 3 years exactly as champ.
The whole will he or won't he with Rock is at least making the Rumble more unpredictable because without it I'd be 95% sure Cody is winning. Now though I'm going to be questioning it until number 30 comes out and there's been no Rock.

I'd rather him go to AEW so he can make yeti noises at Paul Wight one last time

Sure, why not.
TBH I’m more excited about the Cody-premise than I am of The Rock one. There’s a wonderful and crucial component to The Rock in the Roman-Tribal-Chief story. But he could easily do that as an enforcer or referee. Even through a Via Satellites™ itself.
I believe Meltzer’s report of him “not being ready”. Whether it’s legit due to his busy schedule or him just deciding to pass.
In all honesty this WM doesn’t need him. Would it be epic and awesome? For me, the company and the majority of regular fans - no doubt.
But when you consider ticket sales & the integrity of the current roster (plus other possible marquee attractions) his absence won’t hurt and in fact, could do a great deal in fortifying the product without him.

Not really. Mainly because I think current Hollywood Rock is a boring marketing robot. Nothing about him is interesting anymore and his skillset doesn't lend itself to boring. Maybe a program with Reigns could be interesting, but I think Rock would be difficult to watch with a live wrestling audience.

No because whenever the rock comes back it suddenly becomes all abut him. It never seems like he is just a part of the roster but as though the whole show revolves around him and it is just to much.

Absolutely I’d want him at WM. WM is supposed to be this over the top, 1 time (I know 2 days) where we just have fun. It’s a spectacle and Rock would make that.

Absolutely yes. It is the only logical conclusion to the bloodline storyline and would be huge. I am all about spectacle and I am sure they could find a way to mask his limitations.
Not every match has to be a technical masterpiece, and this would be a massive draw. I reckon Rock has one 15min brawl left in him with run ins galore to cover up the ring rust.

These results are a good example that there is in fact an IWC. Sometimes people claim since everyone has the internet they IWC isn’t really a thing. But Rocks return will be met with crazy fanfare, he’s one of the biggest stars in the world. It’ll be more popular than this poll.
Not to say anyone’s opinion is wrong, but it’s a good example of the differences to me.

Surely Braun Strowman's existence was already proof that there is still a massive difference between IWC opinion and live crowd opinion. Man is one of the most over wrestlers in the world in arenas but online is like 90% disliked.

I'll always be happy to see him but I don't rly want him getting involved with literally any of the top angles right now and I especially don't want him anywhere near the world title. I think both of those things are sorta guaranteed if he's there so I'm on the no side.
