I think Gunther is awesome, but last night sold me on LA Knight. I think he's world champ by SummerSlam. He's an instant star. Fit right in against Taker, had the crowd in the palm of his hand, all of that.
I think Gunther has all the potential in the world, too, but this whole Wyatt feud is showing LA Knight's the real deal.

Gunther. I just don't get LA Knight. Middling wrestler, overrated promo. When did the "Hey, dummy!" guy become touted as "a great promo"? Gonna second this but will add I genuinely can't remember a single match with him as LA Knight or Eli Drake that I'd call even kinda memorable. He's just a guy, the WWE has a lot of guys. Gunther/WALTER has basically been the best wrestler or close to it in the entire company since he had his first match and it's still a big deal whenever he wrestles a singles match. He's also 5 years younger and if he became free for a moment from the company there's about 15-20 guys I'd love to see him wrestle immediately (as well as guys still in the company that he hasn't). Can't really say that about Knight.

When? Where?". I really need to see the promo that sold people on this dude, because it can't be his wrestling.

Why not both?

Sheesh, you don’t make it easy. LA Knight has the edge on the mic. But Gunther might be WWE’s best hand in the ring. If push comes to shove, no pun intended, I’m giving the slightest edge to Gunther, because every match he’s had since becoming Intercontinental Champion has been an absolute banger. LA Knight, on the other hand, would be based on potential, granted there’s a lot of potential there. LA Knight is 40 and has been wrestling 20 years, he's way beyond the scale of having. He's charismatic, and one of the best talkers in the company, but inside the ring is as bland as he gets, midcard is his ceiling, but it should also be his floor. Gunther is the complete package and a future World Champion. Has he been been pinned since he was called up? I don't believe he has.

In an ideal scenario I’d push both. In this scenario, Gunther. Could easily be a main event heel, and they’re getting there with that.

Well if I can only push one, I’m going to say L.A Knight. He just feels like a mega star to me for some reason. Gunther lost a lot of that aura that made him special and a must see in both NXT brands. Well he lost it as soon Vince christened him Gunther.

Gunther for World Title, Knight for US/IC.

I think if I had to push one of them I'd go with LA Knight because I think he is lighter.

LA Knight.
I’m much more a fan of mic skills and charisma than in ring work rate and I’m sure most of the general population is too.
I’ve loved LA Knight ever since I first saw him on TNA. He’s the It Factor, The Total Package. He’s got mega star looks and mega star charisma.

If I'd have to pick one right now it'd be LA Knight, because GUNTHER is only 35, LA Knight is 40
I think you gotta use LA Knight while he's still in his prime, and he's working, I think he'd work his way to a top star easily with the way he can talk
I think GUNTHER's also kinda already there? Dominant IC Title reign, looks like someone they wanna have top stars compete against, not worried about him like I was in the Vince era.

LA Knight has "it" more.
He's got the catchphrases, the mic skills, the physique, the charisma.
Gunther has a certain charisma about him too. Similar to Dolph Lungdren. But it isn't "Rock/Austin" charisma like LA Knight has.
They need to strap a rocket to his back ASAP cause he's in his late 30s and they need to get as much time out of him as possible.
He's the one. I'm telling you.

LA Knight could be a really good Miz, Gunther could be a really good Brock. Push Gunther. Knight is only two years younger than Miz, and Gunther is five years younger than Knight. Gunther has way more upside.
