Newsradio after Phil Hartman's death kinda fits... even though he wasn't the main character he was kinda the glue that kept the show together Newsradio is one of my favorite 90's shows, I've re-watched it a bunch of times, and yeah, after Hartman died, ALL the air came out of that balloon. Jon Lovitz tried his best, but you can tell no one's heart is in it anymore.

Continuing The Connors after Roseanne Barr had her moment has to be up there. The Office after Steve Carrell left, although I think they ultimately found their footing. I enjoy The Connors. I really thought James Spader would be good as the Michael's replacement... he was not. It just didn't work. The show struggled but the last season felt like it was back to some semblance of normal. It closed out well.

I’m one of the only Robert California stans around. I honestly loved those last two seasons and think they’re comedically superior to the middle years when Jim and Pam were first dating. I love James Spader... but he just didn't fit as Robert California for me.

Didn't The Blacklist resort to animation in a season finale due to COVID shutting production down?

The original Night Court ended on a low note because the writers were left hanging about whether they were getting another season. I think a similar situation existed for the writers of Family Matters, but it dragged for two or three seasons.

The episode of Collider Live's Jedi Council when that one guy threw a hissy fit about not being invited to galaxies edge.

Sealab 2021 after Harry Goz died. Captain Murphy's antics pretty much sold that show, and without him the show pretty much lost its way IMO.

When I first watched Army of the Dead, I thought Tig Notaru was a terrible actor. Then I learned that she had been ‘digitally inserted’ into the film after Chris D’Elia was dumped due to legal issues. Her performance was wooden and disconnected from all the other actors because she wasn’t even in the same room with anyone else.

Shout out to Rise of Skywalker with them clumsily filming everyone from super tight angles as they delivered very clumsily structured dialogue to segue into prerecorded footage of Carrie Fisher responding to it as vaguely as possible. Should've just said she died offscreen or was positioned elsewhere or something, especially since the movie had significant plot points happen entirely offscreen anyway so it's not like it'd have hurt the thing's cohesion.

The new Dallas limped on for another seaon after Larry Hagman died, the actor who's character defined the whole show.

There's several fanedits of the film out there which just prefer to leave her floating dead in space after Kylo's attack without the Mary Poppins comeback.

Not involving death, but the final seasons of You Cant Do That on Television with only Les Lye and Abby Haygard returning. The new kids tried, but they were just given a bunch of gross-out jokes, as opposed to the comparatively more clever jokes of the Christine/Alasdair era.
