Toy Story ended at 3 for me.
Leave the memories alone.

Frozen 2 had stunning imagery that deserved to be in a much more daring story
I hope Frozen 3 kicks it up a notch in that department. But they are presumably going to play it safe with that cash cow.

Toy Story 5 will be the story of Woody and Buzz going on an adventure to find adult Andy because they find out that adults these days love toys... only to find out that Andy's new favorite toys are a pair of buttplugs named Foxy and Deuce.

Toy Story 5 is pretty much their response to Lightyear bombing. Gotta wash that stink off and finish strong. They 'finished strong' with Toy Story 3. That that they did. But guess what…4 has existed for almost four years now. It’s said and done with. It’s no longer the proper end that it was.

jeepers, if I didn't know any better, I'd say Disney is starting to hit the panic button. like maybe they need to start making money...

Add me to the list of people that sees no point in another Toy Story movie. Toy Story 3 was the perfect way to end that story. Toy Story 4 was all right but completely unnecessary.
If you're going to go back to Toy Story, at least try it with different toys instead of Woody and Buzz again.

Another Toy Story is definitely not needed.... but I will absolutely see it. I just love that franchise and I don't care.

I dunno whether that is something that might come up in the movie but what I would like to see:
-I would like to have part of the story in Zootopia 2 be about Judy and Nick developing romantic feelings towards each other (either developing throughout the movie or perhaps one of them already has feelings but is unsure in how to admit it due to fear of rejection etc.). It does not have to lead to a wedding and the obligatory dance party at the end (that might be something saved for Zootopia 3 ), just them being a couple at the end would be enough.
Since the previous movie already discussed the issues of racism etc., it would fit to explore that part as a sort of stand-in in what prejudices a mixed-race (or rather a mixed prey/predator) couple experiences in the world of Zootopia.

It's literally him seeing another Lotso or Pete in the making. Since he's seen where that road leads(and almost walked down it himself in the first movie), he shows the sort of kindness those guys NEEDED before everything got out of hand.

If you're going to go back to Toy Story, at least try it with different toys instead of Woody and Buzz again. How about just try it with no Woody in the lead? If you must have him, make it the B plot. As "good" to "okay" as the sequels were, it was always frustrating to see Buzz get next to nothing to do. Every movie has been "Woody's Crisis", but in the first movie both he and Buzz shared in that, and Buzz had his own personal crisis toward the end, which is what made that movie so darn good, because it actually showed their level of friendship growing. 2 through 4 were all Buzz and friends rescuing Woody. No more of that.

No more of that. The thing is, I agree with you, but as someone who's put WAY too much though into Woody's story, I'd love to see a prequel of just how he wound up as Andy's in the first place.

I have never watched frozen because the song let it go sounds like rejecting someone. Is frozen about rejecting someone? It's about rejecting society's status quo and accepting your true self. Basically it's like a Persona movie but without demons or fighting God. Disclaimer: I might still be loopy having to wake up at 5am for a surgery.

Frozen 3. Up for that
Zootopia 2. Up for that
Toy Story 5 - Having just watched Toy Story 3 with my daughter again this week and hated Toy Story 4 originally (rewatches did nothing to change that) make this a “Prob only watch because I get dragged to it” vibe

Toy Story and Frozen? Not sure what stories you can tell there.
Zootopia? There are several routes you could go.

This has pretty much been my take. Frozen 2 was a beautifully-made movie, but the story lacked in comparison to the original Frozen IMO. Hopefully 3 gets a stronger story.

I have never watched frozen because the song let it go sounds like rejecting someone. Is frozen about rejecting someone? Eh, not really? Let It Go's kind of odd because it's really Elsa cutting herself off from the world and going deeper into living in seclusion like she's been doing for years, which is very definitively a bad thing in the narrative, and ultimately going against that is what resolves things, but with the way it's sung and how much the marketing's rallying behind it it makes it sound like it's this big triumphant song that within the context of the story it really isn't supposed to be. Like it's sung the way it is because it fits her mood in that moment but it doesn't actually fall into that capacity in the structure of the movie. "Let It Go" is pretty much a villain song lol [though the directors credit "Love is an Open Door" as the movie's actual villain song, which is true since Hans is the actual villain] Problem is, divorced from context is DOES legitimately sound like an empowerment song. I remember queer people really keying into it at the time and from the lyrics its not hard to understand why.

Anyway, I'm a defender of the original Frozen even though time has made me see the cracks in it. I haven't seen the sequel, but I've heard it was rushed. I'm fine with them making a third though, I don't think the franchise is totally milked dry and really... somehow a 10 year old movie still resonates with people who weren't born when the original came out. Another one seems inevitable.
I'll echo the "I'm fine with Zootopia 2" even though I have serious political problems with the first as a far leftist (I still enjoyed it btw, I dont think to think about those things until AFTER I watch a movie).
Toy Story 5 though... eek. Like, I haven't seen 4 but I've heard it was better than it had any right to be. I was really angry when it was announced because I was really emotionally effected by 3 and didn't see where the series could go. A fifth though? Man... on the one hand 3 being the ending has already been ruined so I almost feel like... eh they already blew that so why not? But yeah, I agree with the people who are baffled where else they can take the franchise at this point. Unless they get really daring and focus on a new protagonist within the "toys are alive" world, but they won't do that because they're doing it to sell toys of the already popular characters.
