If Triple H hadnt been forced to retire due to his heart problems, would you see him having any more matches? I get the feeling we would eventually have seen Cody vs HHH, not only do they have a history, but you can play up the whole "wrestling has more than one royal family" thing as well.

I don't think we would have gotten many more matches. Dude has always been super cognizant about his body and he was starting to get hurt just by wrestling while trying to look like an in shape Triple H. Plus with all of his other duties, I think he would have just given up after maybe one more retirement match.

Honestly, yes. The man loved his 20+ minute Mania plods.

Honestly, yes. The man loved his 20+ minute Mania plods. Him and Undertaker clogging up the main event for years and years after they should have stepped aside was definitely the worst part of Mania for me.

He would have guaranteed had one more match, he probably hates his last "Match" was that Thunderdome brawl with Orton that ended with the Alexa Fireball of doom...

I kind of doubt it. He fizzled out after 2019. Maybe one more Retirement match but that’s it

Oh, definitely. Hell, Seth and Cody would have had a match to see who can “retire daddy” first. On the real, Cody Vs Haitch would have been incredible but it’s a miracle Paul’s alive and in good health in the first place.

Of course, I'm sure a part of him will always wish he got that emotional final farewell at WM like his buddies HBK and Flair (even if they didn't stick).

Maybe a Cody match, or maybe Kross, of all people. Speaking of, I will kind of miss his Shao Khan/Skeletor entrances. Maybe if he insists on keeping Kross around, he can inherit the skull mask.

I'm actually surprised he didn't give himself an NXT title reign.

He hadn't really had an actual match in like two years before the heart attack anyway. I'm sure he might've at some point but I doubt it'd have been nearly as regular as it was before that.

I don’t really consider that his last match, that was more of a brawl that they had to whip up at the last second because Drew had Covid. His real last match was still against Orton in Saudi anyway so it’s not too much of a hardship 😂

People need to stop having matches around Nakamura when their careers are winding down apparently, between Triple H's heart and Muto's general everything.

To be fair, Muto's general everything was prominent a decade ago, never mind in 2023. Like, I can only imagine his version of The Last Ride documentary would be them getting a milk truck full of the goop Taker got constantly injected into him.

Speaking of which, man it would've been dope to see one of his NXT "creations" be his last feud and be the one to finally retire him. Joe or Finn or Aleister/Malakai would've been such natural choices, too

Also, man, I got shivers thinking about what a HHH/Cody match would look like.
It'd probably be fine...for the 10 minutes of a 40 minute runtime.

Hell, he started doing the Shining Wizard and Figure Four as finishers because moonsaults were too rough on him anymore... like 20 years ago, almost, right? Whenever he shaved his head and grew the goatee.

I'm sure that he'd have tried to have one or two big farewell matches but his body was breaking even before his heart started acting up.
