Bruce Willis became a running joke about this before the situation with his condition came out, given he did about 30 bottom of the barrel flicks. Becomes even sadder when you realize he did "about 30 bottom of the barrel flicks" to build up a sort of nest egg for when he couldn't act anymore.

I would never say Raul Julia’s M. Bison. That was a fun, silly movie and his performance was incredibly entertaining.
Not to mention, after you deliver that performance as Gomez Addams, it’s hard for anything else to not be a step down.
My go-to “they deserved better” answer is either Sean Connery in Sir Billi or Jimmy Stewart in Fievel Goes West.

It’s probably best to pretend Heath Ledger went out with The Dark Knight, not The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.
Granted, his death came in the middle of filming but Gilliam hasn’t made a coherent/entertaining film in a long time so I’m not pinning the crumminess solely on Ledger’s passing.

I liked Mockingjay probably more than most, but Phillip Seymour Hoffman deserved better than his last role being the worst Hunger Games movie.

Randy Savage's final onscreen appearance was for TNA, wasn't it? Just because it’s the last film released, doesn't mean it’s the last film they worked on. Some “final” films could have been sitting on the shelf for year's, only to be released ghoulishly to cash in on the death of the actor. Some also run out of funding and take years to find anyone willing to throw money at the project to complete it. An actor dying can sometimes be one of the final pushes it needs, which is weird but it happens, people thinking "well, it's this close to being done, let's finish it."

Guns n' Roses last original song on the last album from the classic line up of Axl, Slash, Duff, Izzy, Matt and Dizzy is this shit... That was all Axl and no Guns purist would include Matt and Dizzy in the lineup.

Someone mentioned Cocaine Bear being Ray Liotta's last movie. What are some other infamous last performances? Don't he die while filming Dangerous Waters? Which hasn't been released yet.

How about James Stewart’s last movie doing a voice for Fievel Goes West? I actually remember seeing that movie in the theater, one of the first movies I’ve ever saw. Tho I haven’t seen it since that day, so I can’t really recall if the movie was good or bad. But at least I can say I saw a James Stewart movie. I personally love Fievel Goes West better than the original. I don't know if that's a popular opinion, per se, but I think it's a perfectly serviceable movie. I really enjoy Fievel Goes West. I still watch it from time to time. I also had no idea Wylie Burp was voiced by Jimmy Stewart.

Cheating a little bit, but George Carlin's last live action acting role was Jersey Girl. He was genuinely good in it, but that was about the only positive that movie had.
That said, his final role period was Happily N'Ever After, and that's even worse.
