Everything about I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry. Like, bottom to top, front to back, it's gibberish.

Basically any scene from an 80s high school or frat movie.

At the end of Blues Brothers, when the band has the whole prison partying down, I’m pretty sure in real life that would be considered a riot and the guards would start lobbing tear gas. But that’s the least of the things in that movie that wouldn’t work so well in real life.

Now, the part about the car driving off a bridge and suddenly it’s falling from ten thousand feet in the air-THAT’S totally realistic.

The final act of Trading Places would not work in real life......because people became aware of that possibility actually being done and politicians actually stepped up to make such acts illegal. It was very possible at the time, however.

Running into a church to stop a wedding at the last minute because you want the bride/groom to marry you instead. Even if the people in attendance didn’t dogpile you and throw you out on your ass, and even if you did convince them to stop the wedding, you’re definitely not going to be making any friends, especially with the parents who are most likely the ones paying thousands of dollars for the whole thing.

Speaking of weddings, I've never been to one where the person officiating it says "if anyone knows why these two should not be wed, speak now or forever hold your peace." Either that's something that used to happen and doesn't anymore, is done with specific religious sects but not others, or was just made up for drama in fiction.

The end of the Goonies would have "actually" ended with a multi-year ordeal of many international courts determining who actually owned One Eyed Willy's treasure that was obviously stolen from *insert random world power here*.
The town would have still been broke and bulldozed.

Jim Carrey would've been doing time in a federal prison after breaching airport security, stealing a motorized ramp, and chasing an airplane in Liar Liar.
There's also the issue of a big, cumbersome vehicle like that keeping up with an aircraft approaching takeoff speed.

No athletic commission would have let Randy the Ram compete in the match at the end of The Wrestler. If they did, they would have been sued for letting a man die in the ring (which is what is implied to have happened), and the promotion would garner tons of negative publicity.

Either that's something that used to happen and doesn't anymore, is done with specific religious sects but not others, or was just made up for drama in fiction. It's actually for legal reasons, like if someone is aware that one of the people is already married, stuff like that. It's definitely not meant as an "interrupt the ceremony to make it all about you" thing.

A child not only evading airport security in Love, Actually, but also facing no repercussions from airport staff or his dad. While I’m on the subject, schools holding a nativity play on Christmas Eve AND in a big theatre.
Absolute festive twaddle.

I'm pretty sure there would be ref stoppage very early in Rocky's title fights.

Aren't some people who still compete in pretty awful health? Necro Butcher and Ric Flair come to mind.

You'd think that out of the 900+ Hallmark Christmas Movies where a female writer/photographer/chef/artist goes to a small town and falls in love with a handsome most-eligible-bachelor dude that just once they would have had sex. But nope. Only 1 "mistake" kiss in act 2, 1 serious kiss at the end of act 3 and a minimum of 3 coffee/hot chocolate/cider get-togethers.
Zero raw doggin'. Total bullshit. Most unrealistic crap I've ever seen.

Yeah, I'm led to understand that, with a few specific exceptions, athletic commissions have WAY less power over wrestling than they used to. I think PA and Maryland are notable exceptions. The second point about publicity still stands, though.

I'm pretty sure there would be ref stoppage very early in Rocky's title fights. Never mind the ref stopping the match; if any boxer blocked as many punches with his forehead as often as Rocky does in his films he’d be dead. He had TERRIBLE technique.

Does Delaware (state that the ROH show where Randy died took place) even have an athletic commission with that kind of power?
