Okay, I get that Tony likes booking these kinds of tweener characters, and I don’t mind it being established that Moxley and company are willing to fight anyone tooth and nail. But damn, is it me or have Moxley, Cesaro and Wheeler been excessively unlikeable as of late? Look at how they get the heat and how they’ve been talking to the babyface roster lately. Stone Cold Steve Austin would be the straight man in the room with these guys.
It seems like they’ve been adrift post-Regal. Even more so now that Danielson’s separated himself a tad. If TK’s going to keep pairing BCC with more sympathetic characters like Hangman and Dark Order, they’re going to look like bad guys.
Like, of course Mox can play the working class hero against MJF the self-loathing rich kid. Man, did the dynamic shift once he started feuding with Average Yeehaw Man again.

Why is it still called Blackpool? Regal left!
Maybe call it the Cincinnati Combat Club. CCC.

I get the feeling but I think we're almost there. Judging by the ROH taping, that's the continued direction. Even Mox bailed at the end of Dynamite last week which was a big change. I think they fully turn on Bryan post Revolution.

Outside of Bryan, they are acting a lot more heelish than face lately.
They kinda feel like Suzuki-gun (RIP) now. Like, they'll play heels against the more clean-cut babyfaces, but you respect them for being tough asskickers instead of doing the usual heel tactics like cheating and distractions and whatnot.

That's pretty much my read on them too. Also like that they keep the Blackpool part, seems like a dedication to their founder.

I think they've done a remarkably well done turn tbh, no big 'ha, in your face' turn moment, but just like, emphasising the points about their mentality that while it could lead to being competitive faces also pretty naturally leads to them being aggressive dicks. Bryan's the only one who's acting at all sympathetic right now, and he can easily turn it around as well.

Will anyone boo them consistently? Danielson has tried harder to be a heel than anyone and it doesn't stick. Moxley is feuding with Hangman who's a super over babyface and is getting some boos, but gets cheered as soon as he flips off the crowd. I don't know who as babyfaces are going to get these two and Claudio booed on a regular basis.

At least Mox's "I don't care if I end careers in here" stuff would make sense if they were heels.

I thought that they were basically acting as heels on Dynamite last week (other than Danielson, who's so doing his own thing I forgot he was still in the group). I hope it sticks. It'd be nice to have the top heel group not doesn't involve Chris Jericho.

Dude, BCC sucks. End it. It got Yuta, a relatively unknown, over. Mission accomplished.

They just started showing heel tendencies last week. Give them time.

Really don't see what's wrong with the group. They're pretty much heels or tweeners leaning to heels besides Danielson. They're badasses and take care of their own business and don't alway rely on each other. I dig them. Plus adds a fun Suzuki-Gun kind of stable to AEW that fills that gapping hole that stable has left us.

Is Cody Bryan still in The Elite Blackpool Combat Club?

Eh. I'm not against the BCC (well, what's left of it, given the fact that Bryan is already halfway out due to his booking) turning heel or tweeners, but I can't say the way that it's been booked has worked for me.
I could totally see a world where, without Regal and obsessed with Page, Mox would lead the groupe towards hyperviolence and bloodshed, until it goes too far and someone (Yuta ?) has to step up to right things up and disband the unit in the end. I could also see the BCC splitting up into two opposing teams with different visions for the group. Or other booking directions that would mostly develop over time.
What I can't see is super fan favorite Claudio & Yuta dancing their way for weeks during their tag entrance, all chummy, smiles and cheers, suddenly turning into stoic heel Senpai Claudio slapping angry pupil Yuta to get his head in the game. It just doesn't work for me.
(then again, tbh, I've never been very fond of the BCC being focused on violence, and only violence, when you have Danielson, Claudio and the Pure champion on board)

I don't know who as babyfaces are going to get these two and Claudio booed on a regular basis. Anytime Mox has gone up against Hangman aside from in Ohio, crowds have sided with Page. Yuta also got booed against OC. I think like with any act, it's based on the opponent given. But both based on the last 2 weeks of TV and the ROH spoilers, it does feel like they're heading towards making BCC heels

I think if Mox really insists on wanting to be presented as a surly killer out to put people on the shelf and end careers (I still don't buy it, personally), he needs to be a heel.
