I think they desperately need something. The show was genuinely strong before Supercard of Honor when they had their own small arena type deal and just used that along with pushing actually programs along/setting up the PPV well. Even GCW, Impact, etc all build shows better than this is being built. It's genuinely embarrassing to not have a single match announced a week out with a show in a 3K seat arena.

Sounds like they should scrap Death Before Dishonor and call this Unscripted IV.

It's reached farcical levels now. A week out from the PPV and not a match announced, and even the one that was was done with no build and a couple of promos, neither of which featured the champion himself.
I've no doubt TK will fill the card with surprises and fantasy matchups and it will look cool by bell-time and probably be a really good show; but that just hammers home the fact that the weekly show, in the iteration it is currently, is absolutely pointless.

I watch the show every week and I do enjoy it, but 2 hours is way more than I need. Trim the fat and give me a cohesive 1 hour wrestling show.
Some things that genuinely confuse me about the show. Shane Taylor Promotions was such a money package towards the end of the original ROH. Now Shane has been put with the Work Horsemen for no reason. Kaan has been put with the Embassy and Moses is nowhere to be found.
Also, why did they tease Samoa Joe vs ZSJ for weeks if not months if it wasn't going to happen at Forbidden Door OR at DBD?

I get why they do it but taping the episodes in Orlando was a much better atmosphere for ROH shows.

I think it's as close as you're ever going to get to him saying 'yeah if I'd known then what I know now, I would've never bought it. But, got to make the best of it...'.

For the record, I would say the ROH taping I went to in Long Island had a good size crowd for 75% of it (even if spread out). It only got to the point like that tweet pointed out at like 11:30 PM.

Yeah, the Newark taping had a healthy crowd for the preshow stuff, but once Collision ended a lot of people were leaving and didn't stick around for the stuff that'd run past 11pm. Hell, I was among them: my girlfriend was with me and had been at work all day before the show, and I had to be up the next morning at 6am for my own weekend job. Reminded me a bit of the two hour Rampages at Arthur Ashe, since those go late, but obviously that at least gets a bit more hype.

I am always happy whenever we get Sonny Kiss/Slim J appearances on a show. Barely need anything else, these two rule together or apart.

I think if they're recording stuff at gone 11pm, they know they're not going to have most people leave. It's obviously just beneficial for them to bank as much content as they can regardless. Wrestling is funny in that it's kind of expected that the audiences will be a major part of the show all the time, even if the taping is six hours long. If you ever look at a boxing undercard, there's no-one there until an hour or so before the main event.

Honor club is not a good app. Freezes all the time. It’s also missing a bunch of matches from old shows.
Bought into watch Final Battle. That show was good. A lot of old content is nice but it’s frustrating to use.

I keep hoping that ROH will become just like NXT, but it doesn't happen.

I keep hoping that ROH will become just like NXT, but it doesn't happen. It... kind of is. It has a stable of regulars they're using to try and draw people to the service (Athena, Dalton, Shane Taylor, Josh Woods), they have some AEW stars who've come down there to work on some gimmicks/tweaks in approach or character (Ethan Page, Scorpio, Tony Nese), and otherwise is mostly a place where younger or less established wrestlers are getting a chance to work on things and get reps or otherwise get regular appearances (Garrison, Lee Johnson, a good chunk of the women's division). No doubt the belts are on more established people right now, and the brand isn't going to be fully standing on its own until that changes, but otherwise the show is mostly that kind of set-up. Meantime, though, the list of names in the women's TV title tournament is really exciting, really want to see how that goes.

Crazy how good the women's division is in ROH. Between it and the improvements in AEW, really getting some good moves lately. Honestly love ROH and it's a good weekly watch. Athena is carrying it for sure but Eddie as ROH champ is solid as well. Kinda wish the title were more exclusive to the show though, seems like some of them get more love on the AEW shows.

Athena is carrying it for sure but Eddie as ROH champ is solid as well. Kinda wish the title were more exclusive to the show though, seems like some of them get more love on the AEW shows. Yeah, I've been saying all along I want to see ROH do its own touring in smaller venues, more regular big cards (go ahead and have 3-4 PPVs a year, but have major cards in the other months and have them on Honor Club), and yeah, the titles do need to end up being used more on their own show, but I think we're gonna have to wait on some of that until all the new media rights deals have shaken out; like, if both AEW and ROH end up getting expanded presences with WBD and/or Max, or if ROH ends up getting a separate offer to be featured elsewhere, or if things need to stay on Honor Club...it sucks to say after nearly a year of weekly ROH shows under Khan, but all of those factors make it tough to really plant a flag in any single direction. But yeah, when people wonder why there were more women's matches on Dark and now why there's more on ROH, a lot of it is because that's where the younger/less experienced wrestlers could get more work, and a lot of women under the AEW umbrella are on that younger/less experienced side of things, and now it's all starting to bear fruit for the regular weekly AEW shows. The women going for the TV title are a good balance of experienced and younger, part of what's making it exciting to look forward to. Figuring Billie Starkz has a big chance to make the finals, but it's a big field and there are showcase opportunities for a lot of talent.

Leyla Hirsch, Kiera Hogan, Lady Frost, Rachael Ellering and Billie Starkz just being some names announced already shows that AEW isn't lacking in women's division selections. Like ROH has an abundance of girls that we don't even see on AEW right now that have only strengthened the depth. Doesn't even include Trish Adora, The Renegade Twins, Alex Gracia showing up again, etc
