Just needed a space to vent and throw a pity party.
A client complained that I was not communicating enough (with apparent proof that I can't find on my end). Manager called me this morning to tell me they want a new rep.
I don't mind having them off my list and all, but it just leaves me feeling so bent out of shape. Someone was cut last week due to budget and my team really can't operate without me at this time, I'm don't feel like I'm at risk of losing my job at the moment, I'm just down in the dumps and trying to snap out of it.
So yeah, how's it going?

Shortly after being released from the hospital last year, I woke up one morning and drove to work. I stopped to treat myself to a donut as it was my birthday. When I got to the office the door was locked so I sat outside waiting. I texted my father grumbling about spending my birthday at work, “Happy birthday to me.”
He replied “Son, it’s Sunday.”
Tell me about work related anxiety.

Similar things happen to me all the time in my job. Insureds call in and complain I haven't followed up about the estimate (when I'm not the employee writing it), that the shop hasn't heard from anyone (not our job, shop needs to let us know if they need things approved), that I don't return messages (bullshit, we keep a detailed call log that I have no influence over and it'd be apparent if I was just ignoring customers), etc.
And unfortunately, a lot of people these days have realized that even if they don't have a legitimate complaint, they can still get things escalated by saying "well they were RUDE!", and entirely too many companies are terrified of a negative tweet so they start kissing ass right away instead of reminding the customer that they have obligations as well.
Sorry for what's going on. It'll get better/

I hear you
My job lately seems to mainly consist of hearing other departments and customers complain about us

If you have a good enough job that you have "clients" instead of "customers", you're probably going to be okay.
This doesn't negate your feelings of course, just putting it in perspective.

Don't know your industry or situation, but a lot of clients are wankers. Sometimes when it comes down to it, they're actually a waste of your time/energy/skills and you're better off out of it.
Equally, take on board the learnings - which in this case seem like they are as much about having a paper trail of your dealings with them.

Thanks everyone!
Going into the office today, so my anxiety is still pretty high, but I really appreciate the kind words.
