Got thinking about some stats today. I always wondered about why HBK and Rock never had a match. Yeah I know Rock wasn’t a fan of young HBK, but check this out.
Rock debuted Survivor Series 96 Shawn lost the title at the same event
Shawn redebuted at SummerSlam 2002 Rock lost the title at the same event
That’s a pretty cool thing!

That's a cool fact. only thing that i can think off that's close is the pattern of number 1 entrants of the rumble from 2010-2015 2010- Dolph Ziggler 2011- CM Punk 2012- The Miz 2013- Dolph Ziggler 2014- CM Punk 2015- The Miz

How about these two famous retirement matches? Savage vs Warrior at WrestleMania VII and Hogan vs Flair at Halloween Havoc '94. In both cases the losers of these matches, Savage and Flair, whose careers were supposed to be over, were reinstated after about 6 months. And, after another six months they became heavyweight champs. Savage at WrestleMania VIII against Flair (!), and Flair at Starrcade '95 against Savage (!!). As if this wasn't enough, both Savage and Flair were managed by Sherri in their career-ending matches.

Wasn't there a "symmetrical man" amongst the meme-worthy developmental guys from ages ago? Melting Man, Symmetrical Man, etc. Am I talking complete weird bullshit or does anyone else know what I mean? EDIT: It was BIG E!

I've pointed this one out in other threads in the past:
Survivor Series '88: Owen Hart (as a blue masked character) is eliminated by Greg Valentine via submission Survivor Series '93: Greg Valentine (as a blue masked character) is eliminated by Owen Hart via submission

Glad to see Big E overcome the forum memes and become a beloved wrestler lol

Apologies in advance if some of these aren't exactly what you're looking for.
Every 10 years a kinda smaller, more technical wrestler gets the big Wrestlemania main event win (Bret at 10, Benoit at 20, Bryan at 30).
Undertaker v Brock Lesnar main evented 3 different October PPVs over the years with 2 of them being hell in a cell matches.
Hulk Hogan was only pinned twice at Wrestlemania and they were both at the Skydome in Toronto. Both matches also saw him shake his opponents hand after the match.
During the eras with two world titles the runner-up in the Royal Rumble still ends up in a world title match at Wrestlemania most of the time. Cena 05. Orton 06. HBK 07. HHH 08. HHH 09. Cena 10. Jericho 12. Roman 18. Charlotte 19. Shayna 20. Roman 20 (was scheduled for the world title match before pulling out). Rhea 21. Charlotte 22.
The NWO debuting at No Way Out 2002 was perfect for marketing purposes and being able to spray point their logo over the No Way Out initials in all the posters.
There was a while there were Randy Orton at Wrestlemania got like John Cena's hand me downs. Whoever Cena was just feuding with as his warm-up for Mania is who Randy would face at the big show. CM Punk in 2011. Kane in 2012. The Shield in 2013.
Every HHH PPV match in 2005 was against an old Evolution member.
Carlito faced Evolution members at consecutive Unforgiven PPVs. Flair in 05. Orton in 06. HHH in 07.
Carlito again: he won the US title on his Smackdown debut then won the IC title on his Raw debut.
Every world title match at Survivor Series from 96-02 had some kind of screwjob ending. 96 Sid hit HBK with the camera when the ref was down. 97 was Montreal obviously. 98 they re-did that with Vince screwing Mankind. 99 Vince as a babyface now screwed over heel HHH. 2000 Undertaker was screwed over by a fake Kurt Angle. 2002 Paul Heyman turned on Brock and caused him to lose for the first time.
The night WWE announced they had finally signed Bill Goldberg was the same night Steve Austin wrestled his final match.
The final 4 of the 2005 Royal Rumble (Batista, Cena, Rey, Edge) had zero world titles between them. In a little over a year they would all have been world champions. And all 4 would win Rumbles too.
From 2003-2016 if Randy Orton was in a Survivor Series elimination match he would be the last man standing for his team.
Undertaker and Shawn Michaels ended the 2007 Royal Rumble match then started the 2008 match.
The Shield debuted at Survivor Series 2012 in the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. The 2014 Raw with Seth turning heel and the group ending took place in the same arena.
Batista vacated the World title in January 2006, returned from injury in July and finally regained the World title in November all in the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia.
Roman Reigns started 2015 with the Philly crowd booing him mercilessly as he won the Royal Rumble then ended 2015 with the same crowd wildly cheering him winning the title.

Big Show eliminated K-Kwik with a press slam in the 2001 Royal Rumble
In 2009 he eliminated R Truth with the same move.
HHH lost at Wrestlemania in 96, 06 & 2016.
